Day 16
Thursday June 26, 2014
We started off with video poker this morning. Today we started off with the 50/100 plays. One key hand was Dee getting dealt 4 to a royal and landing 3 of them on lines 17, 79, and 97. It's a good thing she did hit these though because from there it was a slow bleed for her as she fed in bill after bill. I scored a royal later on in the session on line 98. I was the one that hovered this session though as I was only in for $200 the whole time we played. Other key hands were getting dealt 3 deuces and only hitting one quad but getting dealt trip fours and landing 8 quads. I also hit a dreaded straight flush to the king. Larger dealt winners were sparse with only 3 straights, 2 flushes and a full house in the 3 hours or so that we played. Once we got to a coin in level we were happy with we cashed out. Even with 4 royals between us we only cashed out ahead by $17. Royals aren't worth as much as they seem when playing 50 lines and really only keep you going.

We went to a late breakfast/early lunch at the Sundance Grill. Today the casino was running a promo where if you earned 500 points you got a $20 food comp. Dee got her favorite Joe's shuffle omelet and I got the prime rib French dip sandwich with potato chips. Everything was good here and we were full when we left .

We took a short break in the room and headed out. Dee wanted to go to the Ethel M Cactus garden so that's where we went. It was a nice day to go here as it was overcast and breezy instead of 110 degrees.

The next stop was to Savers so Dee could get some books to read. She got a nice assortment of stuff and then we came back here to the Silverton for a short break in the room.

For dinner tonight we went to the buffet to meet with our friends Norm and Andrea. We used a two for one coupon from the Las Vegas Advisor and charged the other meal to the room. The foods here were good tonight but it was a little slow and it seemed like there wasn't much turn over and things were getting a bit dry.

Since we already had enough play in for the day we just came to the room to relax and watch some TV after we were done eating.

Total win/loss for the day $0
Total Comps for the day $93
