Day 20
Monday June 30, 2014
Today started off with an ass pounding at video poker. We played everything from 10 play, five play, triple play and spin poker and did nothing but bleed. Dee even hit 2 sets of aces along the way but still didn't get much action in. Another thing that I noticed today was these machines we've played many times in the past have had the point earning rate halved. I guess in part this was my fault for not noticing it on the first day we played here. I did think it was kind of odd we were dropping so much money the last few days and getting what I thought was very little play. It also would have been nice if they had stickered these machines saying that the earning rate was higher. It was because I thought our action was low that we even played ten play at all today. In the end I take responsibility but I'm not happy.

We met up with the cousins and had breakfast at Cafe Aquarius. Dee had a bacon and cheese omelet with avocado and I had the grand breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and choice of meat. I chose the corned beef hash well done. The food were all good today but the service was again slow considering the place was dead.

After breakfast we hit the machines again. This time we chose a different bank and the points did add up as they used to do. This session was good for me. I was hitting lots of quads but only one bonus quad. I also got dealt 8 full houses and other winners. Dee was starting off on fire popping quad kings just a few hands in and then getting dealt quad deuces. From there it was to the shitter though because not only did she lose all of that, she lost her buy in and another bill on top of it. Luckily I was on ire and won $300 on my machine to offset her loss and a bit of the loss from this morning.

We came to the room to change clothes and then went to the gym for about an hour to burn of some calories and get Dee some therapy.

We all met up at about 3pm and got ready to head out. We went to Harrah's after this. We booked a reservation in Dee's name. She got a mailer out of the blue for 3 nights, 2 buffets, $20 in food and $125 in free play. It must be a “we miss you” offer because we haven't played here on Dee's card in years. Realistically, we still aren't going to play on her card!

We don't need the room but we all like the adult only pool up here and the food will be a good change of pace from the same old stuff at the Aquarius. Both of us are also diamond so we can all get into the diamond lounge for drinks and snacks too.

We checked in at the diamond check in area. It only took a few minutes and were were assigned room 31530 in the north tower tower with a view of the river. This is a handicap room with 2 queen beds, a nightstand, work desk and 42 inch flat screen attached to the wall. There is no dresser to make room for wheelchairs. The bathroom is a fair size with a roll in shower and safety bars.

We got cleaned up and hit the diamond lounge for a quick meal. Tonight the offerings were tuna, tortellini, and creamy chicken vegetable sou among other things. We filled up on appetizer style foods and then came back to the Aquarius.

After we got back we hit the machines again. We chose the same machines we'd played this afternoon hoping for a session similar to what we had (at least I had) earlier. Things were streaky here but a few well placed quads and dealt winners, as well as Dee hitting aces we finished just down $100 for the session. Too bad the rest of the day wasn't this decent!

Total win/loss for the day - $1050
Total Comps for the day $155
