Happy Canada Day to my Canadian Readers
We were up early this morning and hit the pool before the masses arrived. It's nice to be here this early because everyone else is still in bed and we get the pool to ourselves. It's also good for Dee because she can go in and not worry about people slamming into her.

Once we were roasted to a nice crispiness we went downstairs to Duet the small coffee shop and got some bagels for breakfast. While I was in line some guy comes up behind me an says “wow dude, you've aged since last time I saw you”. I told him I didn't know him and I wasn't who he thought I was. He left and afterward I thought my response should have been, “Wow dude you lost a lot of teeth since last time I saw you”.

We came back to the room and got ready for the rest o the day. The first stop was to the outlet mall across the street to see if there were any deals at Burke's and then over to the Golden Nugget. We used to play here every trip but missed a few trips. Dee likes to play roulette here because of the lower limits. I played with her for a while and we did ok hitting quite a few numbers to stay alive but then a quick bleed took place and we both lost.

We came back to the Aquarius and hit the video poker machines again. This time we lost, lost and lost again. I wouldn't have through we could lose this session as I hit 8 quads and Dee hit some herself but we lost $400 and didn't really get that much play in.

All of us met up at about 5:30 and the plan was to go back to Harrah's for dinner. We went to the buffet. We used the 2 buffets coupon from Dee's mailer and a 2 for 1 coupon from the ACG with points for the other 2 meals. This is by far the best buffet down here and makes the buffet at the Aquarius look like scraps.

We went to a video poker machine to run Dee's free play through one time. We did this on a dollar machine hoping for a quad and to be able to cash in with a small victory. She didn't hit any quads and cashed out $90 out of the $125.

We loaded into the car and headed back here to the Aquarius. Once we were back we hit the casino for some more video poker action. We chose the triple plays again and got our asses kicked. I blew through $400 and didn't hit a single quad and only got about $1800 in action. Dee hit aces, a bonus quad and a regular quad and dropped $100 too.

To take a shot we took one last bill and tried a dollar machine. This was a wasteof time and money with no hands better than 2 pair and only about $300 in action.

With the ass kicking we had today half of the profits from earlier are now gone. To make it worse, we didn't get much play out of the money we lost either. Since we were getting killed we ended up here in the room fairly early and watched TV.
