Day2
Wednesday July 2, 2014
We were going to go to the pool again today but Dee was sore from overdoing it with the aqua therapy yesterday. Instead she slept in a little later before getting ready for the day.

Once we were up and ready to rip we got a quick breakfast at McDonald’s. I think I spent more on this breakfast that I have for all other meals combined up to this point.

When we finished eating it was time to hit the video poker. For video poker today we would be playing everything on Dee's card. She's got $150 in free play and I'm hoping with a full day of play we can boost her offers up towards what mine are.

The video poker gods were dicks this session with me hitting just one quad and losing $200. Dee hit a quad, a straight flush, and a dealt quad but still lost. We got very little play for our money and at the end of the session we were down $300.

We switched to single line for halves and Dee hit aces early on. Shortly after she hit a bonus quad to add to her meter. I was struggling to hit anything but then luckily or unluckily hit the dreaded king high straight flush. I hovered on this for a while and then hit a quad but the bleed was already on. I was going upwards of 12 hands without a pay off, would push on a hand and then lose 8-10 more. I lost my initial $100 and put in another. This was a waste of time as I only got about 20 more minutes in play out of it. The bleed hit Dee too as her aces and bonus quad were now gone. She was able to cash out even. So far, this morning has been identical to the last 2 days.

Dee wanted to run her free play on penny games so we did. Normally I wouldn't run $150 through these but I figured WTF, VP isn't getting it done, maybe this would work. We had a few good hits to keep us going but didn't stand a chance to get anything back we'd already lost.

We took a break up in the room and had some snacks to get out of the casino to avoid losing more money before nightfall. I don't mind losing but the rate we're losing at combined with the lack of play we're getting is absurd the last few days.

For dinner we all met up and went to the Cove. They serve appetizers and pizzas here and as a red card holder I get 2 food items and 4 drinks per week. Since this perk resets on Mondays I had twice as many. We ordered 2 pizzas, fried zucchini and surf and turf skewers. This was plenty of food and everything was tasty. Note: The pizzas while pricey are the best bang for your buck. The other appetizers are fairly small.

After we ate we hit the half dollar machines again. We got a good amount of play on these but again I was going way too many hands in a row without getting paid. I also hit a bunch of quads. Deuces twice, queens 3 times, fives 3 times and a few others. So with that many quads you'd think I had good results. Compared to the other parts of the stay it was. I broke even. Dee got beat up a bit and only hit a few quads. In the end she lot another 2 bills.

We moved to the triple plays again and had a bill each. I lost mine in under 10 minutes. Dee got 15 out of hers. I had one bill left and took Dee to the high limit room and had her pony up to a dollar machine. Initially she did well hitting a bunch of flushes, straights and full houses. Then the bleed happened and she lost that too.

Now I've had some losing streaks and trips where we did nothing but lose, but this visit to the Aquarius has got to be one of the worst 5 day stretches I've ever been through. Not only did we lose a boatload of money, we lost all $900 in free play we got this week as well.

We wrapped up the night by packing up some of our things and watching TV. It's really hard to believe that 5 days have gone by already.

Total win/loss for the day - $1000
Total Comps for the day $349
