Day 26
Sunday July 6, 2014
Today is the last day for the cousins. They wanted to go down to Fremont Street so we loaded everyone into the car and off we went. I parked at Four Queens. The cousins were going to explore downtown while we stayed at the Four queens to play. Dee had a mailer offer for $200 in free play. We played 9/6 jacks for halves here and did well. Well, I did anyway. I was hitting quad after quad, loads of full houses and filling in the flush fours. Dee on the other hand struggled and needed a second bill before having her typical come backs. As always I tell Dee not to hit quad aces when we play 9/6 jacks and what happens? I hit them! Then not 3 minutes later, she hits them. I had the meter over $500 but Dee was struggling again. So bad in fact that she came back to even and lost it all and switched machines. I started going through long stretches of hitting nothing but that smoothed out. By the time we ran through what we wanted were were up $50. While this wasn't ideal after I was up over $400 at one time with the lack of luck Dee had I'll take it.

Dee ran her free play through a penny game with crappy results. She did have a few good hits but nothing to keep the meter high. When she was done running that through it was only $125.

The last point of business here today was to cash out Dee's points so a quick trip to the slot club and a trip to the cage netted another $79 to the pocket.

We came back to Sam's Town for a quick break and to get ready for dinner. For dinner we went to Billy Bob's Steakhouse. We typically go here once per trip even though we could go here every day. We started off with some appetizers. Those being the snails an oysters Rockefeller. I got the filet mignon and Dee got the lobster tail. The meals came with potato and choice of soup or salad. Dee got salad and I got soup which was loaded potato tonight. The food here is typically pretty good and tonight was no exception.

When the bill came I had our server split the check into to putting the expensive stuff, appetizers and most drinks on one bill and everything else on the other. The larger bill was paid for by the gold card and I used points to pay for the other.

After dinner it was time for some more video poker action. This session we played halves again. Thing were decent here again this session. We were both hitting quads but I went on a downward spiral for a while and needed to reload with another bill. From there for me it was all upwards. Lots of quads and full houses. I also hit aces late in the session to cash out with a $350 win. Dee was doing well too and hit a set of aces of her own. The bleed set in on her though and slowly she lost not only the aces but a few bills on top of it. All in all it was a good session and we walked away with a $250 profit by the time it was over.

We came back to the room and pretty much just crashed as it was now after midnight!

Total win/loss for the day $500
Total Comps for the day $606
