Day 28
Tuesday July 8, 2014
Today was started off with a trip to the deli for one last meal on my gold card. I got a chicken salad sandwich and Dee got oatmeal. I also grabbed some drinks and cookies for the road!

We ate in the room and then packed up the suitcase and headed out for Aliante. Dee hadn't see the room yet and was excited to see what we would be set up in. She liked what she saw! We threw our things in the room and hit the casino.

We played 8/5 bonus five play. It was a rough start and we were feeding in too many bills. I got dealt trip aces and scored the quad on 2 lines to get back into it. Dee still struggled but hit a few quads of her own including aces before getting dealt quad aces for the $500 hit. The bad thing? This barely got us to even! The killer this session was the lack of dealt winners and everything we hit was on the draw. Shortly after I got dealt quad fives. The bleed started right after this though and I lost my buy in. We decided to give up at this with only an $80 which is sad considering we hit $800 worth of aces.

We took a break from VP and machine hopped penny slots. We did this for about 90 minutes before losing the $20 we invested.

We came to the room for a short break and then went to dinner at the Farm 24 Cafe here. This is new addition since we were last here and it's nice to be able to go to a cafe again after not having one for 5 nights at Sam's Town. Dee ordered the blue plate special which was vegetable lasagna and I ordered the chicken pot pie. Everything was good and the crust on the pot pie was very rich and buttery. The service here was excellent tonight and we left full.

We hit the video poker machines again. This time things were decent again. We hit plenty of quads and got a good number of dealt winners. I also hit a straight flush on the bottom line although from there I went into a downward spiral. Dee struggled in the beginning and needed additional funds but from there was up and down. By the end of the session we had lost about $100 between us.

We moved over to single line video poker because we wanted to play a bit more without the swings of five play. This turned out to be worse than playing 5 line because Dee lost $100 and only got $400 in action out of it. I lost $50 in the same amount of time.

We finished off the night with a couple of milkshakes at Johnny Rockets. Believe it or not I actually paid money for these. I know, that's effed up!

Total win/loss for the day - $150 <--- Really? After hitting 8 sets of aces?
Total Comps for the day $273
