Day 31
Friday July 11, 2014
We were up early today and got ready for the trip home after what has been a pretty damn good vacation. I started the morning by writing this part of the report and then we got ready to start our partial day.

Last night based on play I earned a $10 food coupon for the Cafe so we went there for breakfast. I had the chicken fried steak. It was good but a little too rich for me today and I couldn't finish it. Dee had the deuces wild again.

We came back up here to the room and finished up packing and watched a little TV before we needed to move out.

I went down to the deli and ordered us a couple of sandwiches for the flight. We both got turkey and it came with chips and a pickle.

We packed up the lunch bag and headed to valet to get the car. I stopped off to gas up the car and then it was onward to the airport.

We did what we did the last trip parked in short term parking, and checked in for our flight. Things here were pretty quick for us. For others it seemed like it was slow as it looked like a bunch of kiosks weren’t working and the line was at a standstill.

I left Dee in a safe place and came back to the garage and then to the rental car facility. We like doing this so we don't have to lug the suitcase onto the shuttle and struggle getting Dee on the bus with the wheelchair. Everything here went well and in just a few minutes I was back on my way to the airport.

I met back up with Dee and we were off to security. The lines were short here and there didn't seem to be the normal amount of douche bags that can't listen to direction. After Dee had her full body and cavity search and I went through the nude-o-scanner we were off to the terminal.

We were plenty early for the flight so just sat and waited for the plane to arrive and the pre-boarding to begin. While we were sitting there I heard an announcement regarding our flight. I thought it was going to be delayed but it wasn't. What they were announcing was the flight was oversold and they were looking for 2 volunteers to give up their seats. I looked at Dee, said I'm going to see what they are offering and I'll be back.

The offer was $300 future flight credit each plus our fares back in credit as well ($228) for $528 each or $1056 for the two of us. I agreed to it, went back to Dee and got our boarding passes back. In just a little while I was walking away with the same flight time tomorrow and over a grand in flight credit.

However, now we're stranded at the airport. I pulled out the computer and looked at car rates. They were very low with dollar coming in at $17 for a full size. Not wanting to deal with their crap again I looked up Avis and scored the same size for just $5 more. I booked it right there.

I also had to rebook our car or tomorrow when we get back to Albany and cancel today's rental. I was hoping I wouldn't get raped on the rate and as luck would have it, it was still the same.

I ran back to the rental car facility to get the car. They offered a free upgrade to a mid sized SUV and assigned me a Toyata RAV 4. It was in much better shape than that piece of shit Impala I had with Dollar and only had 11,000 miles on it. I could not believe how many cars these places had on the lots on a Friday afternoon. It was no wonder the rates were so low. I swung back over to the airport to get Dee and now it was time for the next issue.

We now needed a hotel and I had a few offers. The issue was I didn't want to stay at a place where I have a high daily average. Those places were either full or my offers weren't good. Finally I decided on the Gold Coast. It was close by, it came with $50 free play and $50 food credit per day.

When we arrived checking in was just a few minutes and we were on to room 531. This room is identical to the room we had a few weeks ago except it's backwards.

We threw the luggage into the room and headed to the Cortez Room for dinner. Dee got the pasta dish she likes here and I got a rib eye. Dee also had a salad with hers and mine came with steak and potato soup. Everything was good here and our server William did a great job.

Next it was time to play. We hit the triple and five plays. There were few quads and few dealt winners oddly I got to play on a single bill for over an hour. Dee lot her first bill fairly quickly but the second bill she hovered on for quite a while. By the time we were done we had dropped $300 which wasn't something I wanted to do but we did get a decent amount of action out of it.

To wrap up the night I activated my free play and we played a large variety of penny slots, including the same game we hit for over $200 a few weeks ago. By the end of the night we had played penny games for almost 2 hours and still walked away with $30 from the free play.

It was 11pm now and we were actually both beat so wrapped up this bonus night with a little TV and then some sleep. Tomorrow we'll try again to go home.

Total win/loss for the day - $300
Total Comps for the day $256
