Day 5
Wednesday September 23, 2015
This morning we started off the day hitting the 10 plays for dimes. It was pretty good all around with lots of quads including aces and bonus quads. Things got exciting for Dee when she got dealt 4 to a royal and scored one on line 5! We continued to plug away and by the time we were finished I was even and Dee was up $250.

We took a break from the action to get some breakfast at the Promenade Cafe. Dee had a California Scramble and I had chicken and waffles. She said her meal was excellent and mine was pretty tasty too. We paid the bill with a $20 voucher that came with Dee's offer.

It was back to the machines again. This time around we hit the five plays for quarters. It was another good session to start with me hitting aces right away. Those wouldn't stick around long though and not only did I lose that money, I lost my original $100. Dee hit some aces of her own and got dealt quad queens. From there she hovered the whole time we played. I came back to life on my machine hitting lots of quads including getting dealt quad sixes twice in less than 2 minutes. We cashed out up $200 a piece here and took a break. On the way to the room we played a penny slot for a few minutes and hit a bonus round and had a few decent hits. We walked away with a $5 win there!

Next up we went to the pool for a while. It was nice to be able to go out in the nice weather and not fry like we usually do in the summer.

We came back to the room and got cleaned up and then went to dinner. For dinner we went to J.C.'s Irish Pub. Dee ordered the fish and chips and I ordered the Sheppard's pie. The food was good this time around and we left full.

We hit the machines one more time. This time around we played single line 9/6 jacks or better for halves. Dee was a ball of fire to start again with a bunch of quads including 3-4 dealt. I was getting pounded and not hitting much of anything. Low paired to death and going 10-15 hands in a row with no wins. My Hail Mary's weren't working until I was almost down $300. I switched to double-double and popped quad threes to get back into it. This was followed by a bunch of full houses and flushes and I got back to even and quit. Dee was up just over $100 and quit as well.

We wrapped up today's action by running Dee's free play through $1 9/6 jacks turning the $200 into $115. We also cashed in $100 worth of Dee's points and ran that on half dollar jacks and turned that into $80. All in all today was a good day at Rampart and we scored our first ever win here!

We were done playing for the day so decided we'd go to the Rio and see if we could get tickets to Penn and Teller using Dee's free diamond tickets. They had seats available and we got into section 3 seats 7-8 in the handicap row. We saw this show a few years ago but they change it up quite a bit. Most of the bits were different than we saw last time. It was a good show again and the price was right at complimentary especially when it would have been $184 for those tickets.

We came back up here to Rampart after the was over and wrapped up with some TV and then bed.
