Day 6
Thursday September 24, 2015
We were up early today and started off with breakfast at the Promenade Cafe. We both got one of the early morning specials. Dee had the sausage, eggs, hash browns and toast. I had the pancakes and bacon. You get these for $3.99 and just $1 extra for a drink. The food was standard issue but filled the void.

We hit the casino again and played on my card. We played on the dime 10 play machines again with decent results. We both hit a fair amount of quads including multiple sets of aces. We got about 2 hours of action in and cashed out with a $200 win between us.

Today is the day we are switching the room over to my name so I stopped by the front desk to get the new room keys now that the room is booked under my offer. I also got my paperwork to take the the slot club to get my free play. We also got a copy of our charges and went to see a host about getting Dee's charges comped . There was no problem getting the charges comped.

We took a short break from everything and then it was back to the casino. We stopped by the slot club to get my free play activated and then onward to the machines. This time we tried the 5 plays for quarters. I started out getting killed but on my hail Mary attempt hit quad aces on double-double bonus to get back into it. Dee unfortunately was getting pounded. I went on a quad run hitting a quad every few minutes including aces two more times. Dee continued to bleed for a while but then things leveled off for her and she hovered for a while. We took a short break with her down $300 but I was up $500 for another $200 win.

We were going to take a short break but stopped by a penny game we like and took a shot with a $20. We hit a few bonus rounds and doubled up the buy in and got out of there.

After the short break we hit the 5 plays again. I continued to do well and Dee finally get her ability to hover back. We played for about another hour with me actually losing $100 this time around and Dee breaking even.

We were almost at our goal for the day so to protect our small gains we played single line 9/6 jacks for halves. Dee hit a straight flush right away and I got pounded. Neither one of us hit a quad during the whole time we played. Dee was up and down but cashed out up by $100 but I lost $300. So much for trying to protect the gains.

We ran my $80 free play through on quarter jacks. I hit quite a few full houses to stay alive but still no quads. By the time it was run through it was just under $100. While it wasn't as good a day as yesterday we still got out with a small win after playing most of the day.

For dinner we had plans to meet Norm and Andrea over at Suncoast. Today was a p-lay and eat day where if you ran 600 points you got a free buffet, $10 off the cafe or $10 free play. We found some 8/5 bonus five plays and sat down. I was doing ok and looked over at Dee's machine and saw she was down to just $25 on her meter in just a few minutes. I was not thrilled that this buffet was going to run us $200! Just as it looked like it was over she popped quad aces and cashed out with a profit. I had a few swings and lost a bit but between Dee's win and my small loss we landed $12 to the plus side.

We hit the penny games for a bit earning 15x points for the action but lost $20 with very little play. I decided to not play any more because now being down $7.50 the buffet is still a good deal for the 2 of us. Losing more would make it a bad deal.

We had a good dinner at the buffet but I can say this this buffet isn't quite as good as it used to be. It seems to me that Boyd is really tightening things up through out it's properties out here and really starting to be noticed by us. Norm and Andrea had to head out and we left as well.

It was still early so we took a drive down to the Silverton. We both had mail offers for $100 in free play. The plan was going to be to play just a little (and not worry about killing the future offers) and take some cash out of the place. When we got there I saw they were running a pull tab promo. The best tabs were given for earning 1000 points. We took a shot with some short pay 7/5 bonus STP 10 play machines. We both bought in for $100. Dee didn't hit any major hands and multipliers were on the low side. I wasn't getting many multipliers either but when I did I usually hit well on them. With a 5x multiplier I hit a quad for 625 coins and later on with a 2x multiplier hit aces for 800 coins. I won about $150 and Dee lost $25. We also ran our free play through and Dee turned her $100 into around 80 bucks and mine was only about $65. I wasn't happy about that but we still turned a nice profit here tonight.

We went to the player's club to get our pull tab and we both won $25 in free play. Not bad for $1000 in action. We both ran the free play through some penny games the we liked and Dee turned her $25 into $222 cash and I got $20 out of mine. By the time we left Silverton tonight we won close to $250.

We left Silverton and came back here to Rampart. We wound down in the Jacuzzi and watching TV.
