Day 8
Saturday September 26, 2015
Once we were up and ready we finished packing up the rest of our things and got ready to head out.

Today's move takes us on a 2 hours drive to Laughlin and the Aquarius. I booked this 4 night stay through my host with a mail offer and free play. For some reason my free play was quite a bit lower than it normally is but my host said she could bump it back up to what I had been getting. It worked out that she didn't have to do that because the following mailer went back up to my normal $475. She did the same for Dee who also had a huge drop in free play. Because of this I'll be getting $475 and Dee will be getting $250 for a total of $725 in free play.

When we arrived we hit the buffet for their VIP buffet. Red and green card holders Get a free brunch buffet every Saturday & Sunday (Dee is green, and I am red) as one of the perks of having the higher tier cards. We used Dee's card for this at the kiosk today since we'd be playing on her card later. We also printed out her vouchers that offer a food item at the Cove or Duet and 2 free drinks.

The buffet here is always mediocre at best but the price is right. We ate too much and rolled ourselves out to the casino floor. The place was packed today but we found some open machines and started playing single line 8/5 bonus for halves. Dee got pounded dropping $300 without a single quad. I hit a few quads including fours and dealt jacks. I did have the meter up by $150 but cashed out with just a small $50 win to help offset Dee's bankroll busting ways!

Later on we checked in at the VIP area. This trip we were booked into a regular suite (as opposed to the giant suites they have). We have never stayed in one and Dee requested one for this trip. Checking in was easy like it always is and we were quickly on out way to room 18130.

This room has a living room when you walk in with a wet bar area, couch (that's a sleeper), chairs, coffee table and flat screen TV. It has a view of the river from the side window and of the street, parking lot, mountains, outlet mall and events center out the main windows. The bedroom features a king bed, dresser, night stands work desk, and flat screen TV. There is also a view of the same stuff you can see from the living room.

The bathroom is small with your basic tub, toilet and vanity. Compared to the bathroom at the JW Marriott we just had, this bathroom is smaller than the closet was up there.

Once we were settled into the room we were too a break and watched some TV. I fell asleep for a while but felt good afterwards. We were off to the casino again. This time we started off with quarter five play. At first there was only one machine open so I took it and Dee watched. Not much was happening but I wasn't losing. Finally another machine opened up so Dee took over my machine and I took the next one over. I hit aces right away but then they disappeared. Dee hit a set of her own and hovered for the next 2 hours before busting out. I hit a dealt straight flush followed by dealt quad sixes less than 2 minutes later. I was up and down the rest of the time we played. As sad as it is with those nice hits we actually cashed out even.

We went to find some new games and decided on Super Times Pay 3/5 play. We did well here with me hitting aces and Dee getting a dealt quad without multipliers. Some of the better hands were when I hit a standard quad with a 5x, Dee getting a dealt flush with an 8x, me getting a dealt full house with a 5x and Dee getting a 3x multiplier and holding a lone king and drawing quad threes. We played for quite a while with Dee playing triple play and me switching between 3 & 5 play. By the end of the run we cashed out with about $100 in winnings.

We had gotten more than enough play in so Dee ran her $250 in free play through 50¢ jacks or better. She hit a large number of full houses and a quad and turned the $250 in free play into $350!

We took a break for a while and then went to dinner at Cafe Aquarius. Dee had chicken fingers and fries and I had the Sign of the Zodiac Soup which is noodles, pork, chicken, shrimp and scallops. I don't eat seafood so had them leave that out and got extra pork. Everything was good here tonight and those are two of our favorite meals here.

We stopped by the VIP room to grab some cookies and came up here to the room to end the day with some TV.
