Day 10

This morning we started off with video poker. Dee liked playing the STP Spin Pokers last night so wanted to play them again. I wasn't doing well but then had a hand holding 3 deuces and scored 3 quads for the 3000 coin hit to get back to even. I hovered for a while and got a couple of wild royals dealt. I wasn't getting many multipliers and when I did they didn't help much. Dee was hovering nicely for a while and hit an 8x multiplier with some quints and racked up around 2400 credits. She continued to hover and I popped 2 more sets of deuces during the play but just couldn't get ahead. That was until I was dealt quad deuces for 9000 dimes! We played a but longer and then cashed out with a nice $1000 win between us with me up $900 and Dee up $100 after about 3 hours of play.

We went to Duet to grab a light lunch using some of the vouchers we get for being red and green card. We split a turkey and Swiss wrap and each got some juice. This filled us up and we were on our way.

Now it was time for some more gaming action. We hit the machines again playing 50¢ 8/5 bonus. On my first hand I held a lone ace and popped quad aces. You know it's your day when stuff like that happens. A few minutes later I hit quad fours and then Dee hit quad tens followed by quad aces. I even hit a straight flush. We played for about 30 more minutes and the bleed started to happen so we got out while we had the opportunity with a $500 win.

After we got our play in for the day we went to Harrah's. We didn't need to move but for a short change of pace I still booked a room there where we would spend the night. The room also came with a $35 food credit. When we got there we checked in at the diamond/7 stars area. In just a few minutes we were on our way to room 31920. This room is in the north tower which we hate. It has a small living room when you walk in with a wet bar area featuring a coffee maker and fridge. The room has a sleeper sofa, chair and small dining table and chairs with a flat screen TV.

The bedroom has a king bed, 2 nightstands, a dresser and a flat screen TV. The bathroom is split into 2 rooms. The outer room has double vanities and a Jacuzzi tub and a small 12 inch TV. The inner room has the toilet and a his and hers shower.

We threw our stuff in the room and then hit the casino. We chose to play some bonus deuces game on the 50 plays. Dee started out getting killed and was in for 3 bills before we knew it. I was doing well having popped 2 sets of deuces in the first 10 minutes we were there. For those keeping track I have now hit deuces 16 times today. Dee finally hit a hand with 3 deuces on the deal and pulled 3 sets of her own to get ahead but a little bit. I started to struggle and then on a 3 card hold pulled a natural royal for a $200 hit. We played a bit more with Dee cashing out even and me cashing out with the $200 win thanks to the royal.

It was a bit too early for dinner so to kill a few minutes we played a couple of games of Keno. We did really well here hitting a total of 1 number the whole time we played.

We went to Guy Fieri's El Burro Burracho for dinner. This replaced the old Mexican restaurant that had been here for years. I had Old Skool Americana Tacos. It's 3 tacos with traditional seasoned beef and it comes with refried beans and rice. and Dee had trash can nachos. The food here was really good and was an improvement over what was here in the past. Even though I thought the food was good I could have used one more taco. Dee's nachos on the other hand were huge.

To wind down after dinner we hit the diamond lounge to chill out and have some cookies. I have to say to food offerings in here were weak tonight with ham salad, tuna salad, potato salad and soup.

Even though it was early we decide to go to the room and take it easy for the rest of the night. We ended the evening with TV and then hit the sack.
