Day 11

When we got up this morning we went tot he Beach Cafe for breakfast. I got chicken fried steak and eggs. The steak portion was good but the gravy was tasteless goo. Dee got bacon, sausage and eggs. We filled up on an average over priced breakfast and then hit the machines.

We hit the casino today and played on Dee's card. The plan was to hopefully get enough action in to do 2500 base points so Dee would get the 5000 point bonus. Things were miserable here. Between us we hit 10 sets of deuces, 2 with an ace kicker and Dee scored 2 natural royals on one hand and we still dropped $1500 in the worse session by far wiping out almost everything we won yesterday.

We came up to the room to take a break and lick our wounds and then went back to the casino for a little more action. We were almost to the 2500 points, too close to stop so we finished up our play. This time around we played triple and five play deuces instead. Dee hovered the whole time with nothing more than a few wild royals but I bled another $300 with few hits.

Dee had an appointment at the Salon to get her hair highlighted and cut at 2pm. While she was here I went to the Golden Nugget to play blackjack. I always do well here and liked the games they offered. Then I saw all they had today was one shoe game and a double deck that paid 6 to 5. Obviously I refuse to play that bullshit so I left. Instead I went down to the Aquarius. I got on a double deck game and bought in. I wish there was something exciting to report but there really isn't. For the most part it was win one lose one the whole time I played. It seemed every time I bumped my bets up I lost. I did manage to get out of there with a small $100 win though.

I headed back to Harrah's to check on Dee's progress and she was just about done. Her treatments took about 2 hours and when she was done we used reward credits to cover the costs. She was happy with the results.

We came back up to the room to take a break for a while and packed up the few things we brought with us and headed back to the Aquarius.

We hit the casino and started off with those dime STP machines again. Dee struggled to hit much of anything even when she got a multiplier. I was doing better hovering for the most part an then hitting a set of deuces and a royal flush. Dee ended up losing about $150 but I won over $400 for our first win of the day even if it was only fifty bucks.

We took a short break and went to the Cove for a small dinner. We got the meat pizza with BBQ chicken, sausage and pepperoni and a couple of drinks. You get the most bang for your buck with the pizzas here but they are pricey. I used one of my vouchers for being red card to cover the bill.

We hit the casino again and the same STP machines. I took a shot at quarters with very little luck. Few multipliers and few deuces were even being dealt to me. I dropped $500 playing quarters before switching over to dimes. I got much more action out of the dime play and hit some better stuff butt he multipliers were still sparse and the wins on the multipliers were small. The only exception to that was getting an 8x multiplier and being dealt a quad. I got out of the dime play even but Dee dropped a little more cash. It was NOT a good day playing video poker and we dropped close to half of what we were up going into the day.

It has been a long day so we came up to the room and packed up some of the stuff we used and got ready for tomorrow's final move of the trip back to Las Vegas.
