Day 13
Thursday October 1, 2015
Today we spend the morning in the room relaxing. I went over to the Grand Bazaar Shops to the Tickets4tonight booth and got tickets to see Australian Bee Gees. Dee has wanted to see this show for a long time and it's kind of her belated birthday gift from the summer. One thing I didn't know was when you get tickets from these booths you only get a voucher and have to take that to the box office to actually get the tickets. So I hoofed it down to Excalibur to the box office to get the tickets. I figured it was going to be faster than coming back here getting the car, driving down there, parking, going and and then repeating the process to come back. I also won't be using the booths in the future again unless there is just an outstanding deal. I think with some of the other discount coupons in freebie magazines offered a better deal.

Before I went to Excalibur I stopped at Total Rewards at Bally's (it was open today) and got my October tickets for being Seven Stars. I asked about 50 Shades the Parody which has been a tough ticket to get with the tier benefit but I finally got them to tomorrow night.

When I got back from the Excalibur we drove over to the Gold Coast. We went to lunch at Noodle Exchange. We both got the Lemon Chicken lunch special. Normally this is really good but today it was off a notch. The egg roll wasn't cooked long enough and the chicken was overcooked.

After lunch we hit the machines. We started off with 5 play. I was getting pounded from the start but Dee hit aces twice in about 3 minutes and a few other quads. She hovered for a while while I fed bills in. I hit a few quads including some standard quads on my hail Mary attempts. Dee's luck changed and she cashed out even and I dropped $200.

We switched machines and I was doing OK hovering for the most part. I hit a few quads but no aces or even bonus quads. Dee was also hitting quads and pulled 2 straight flushes on one hand. Things looked good until I looked over at Dee and she wasn't playing. I thought she had a question on a hand and she was busted out. I was shocked that she actually dropped not only her quad and straight flush money but, also her buy in. I got out down $100 while I could and we lost another $300 between us.

We left the Gold Coast sort of shocked about the last 20 minutes and went down to the Luxor to park to go to the show at Excalibur (Excalibur's parking really sucks). We got there in plenty of time and were the first seated. We even got upgraded to a slightly better seat. The show started and was really good. These guys are spot on to what the real Bee Gee's are. Every one there seemed to really enjoy the show. The only thing I didn't like is that I plaid close to $100 for 2 tickets to see a tribute band.

When we were done with the show we had a junk food dinner at Jack in the Box featuring tacos and milkshakes.

We came back to the Cromwell and Dee wanted to try the new Gremlins slot machines. This was a mistake as we dropped $20 into each game with very little play. I brought Dee up here to the room and then headed off to the Flamingo to play some blackjack. I would have liked to have played here but all of the games were 6 – 5.

Over at the Flamingo I found a double deck game and bought in. Things were up and down here and every time I'd get on a small roll and press my bets I'd lose it again. This battle was not very fun but I wasn't getting killed so continued to plug along. It seemed like I got dealt 100 12's against the dealer 2 and busted 95 times when I did it. I also lost the majority of my double down hands. In the end I only dropped around $600 after about 5 hours of play.

I got back tot he room at about 4am for my latest night of the trip. Normally for most of the trip we were getting up by 7am!
