Day 3
Friday February 26, 2016
When we got up we were off to gym for a quick round of exercise. Afterwards we got ready for the day. The plan today is to play at Binion's. We've both got offers for $300 in free play and we've both got the 2x points coupon (up to 500) from the ACG and the $10 free play coupon from the LVA. Dee also has a letter for $40 in free play from when she joined the club back in September. We're also going to be playing at the Golden Nugget today and have plans this evening so it's going to be a busy day.

We started off with breakfast in the cafe at Binion's. We both got Benny's breakfast, the standard 2 eggs, 2 sausage, hash browns and toast. This cafe is about as basic as you can get but everything was good.

Now it was time for some video poker action. We chose to play for half dollars today so we could get our action in quicker and hopefully without getting killed. We started off on my card and things were up and down. Hands of interest were dealt deuces for me. Dee hit aces on bonus poker and on a hail Mart attempt hit aces on double-double too. Other than those nothing that really stands out. We had enough action on my card now and only lost about 30 bucks. I went over and took my swipes on the Motherlode game. I won $5 free play, $20 food, and a free gift. I took those vouchers over to the player's club as well as my ACG coupon and POV coupon. Now I have $315 in free play. The free gift was going to be a plastic slot machine drink holder. I protested and the lady offered me a t shirt which I took.

We went back over to the D to get our things and headed over to the Golden Nugget. Yahtzee Mike and Camela who just arrived in town came over to see the room and give us a hand dragging our crap over. We hung out for a while and then we went back over to Binion's.

Now it was time to play on Dee's card. This time around we started out on dollars. Things were decent. Hands of interest were me once again being dealt deuces. Dee hit aces again. About 2/3 of the way through our play we switched to halves only being down $100 so far this time around. Nothing major happened but we kept from bleeding. We had enough action on her card now. We went over and took her swipes on the Motherlode game and she won a free drink, $25 free play and $50 cash! We took those vouchers over to the player's club as well as her ACG coupon and POV coupon. She now has $375 in free play.

When we were done playing we met up with Yahtzee Mike and Camela who arrived earlier today for a late lunch / early dinner at The Grille in the D. I tried the French Dip. Dee got the chicken fingers. The food here is pretty basic but not quite as basic as at Binion's and the Four Queens.

I had to head out because I had tickets to Ring of Honor Wrestling over at Sam's Town. Tonight is their 14th anniversary Pay Per View. Dee was going to hang out and spend some time in the room to read and watch TV while I was gone.

I got over to Sam's Town with some time to spare before the event. Tonight is their pay – per – view event and it starts at 6pm locally. The event was going to last for about 3 hours. I had bought tickets shortly after I knew we were going to take this trip. I didn't even know they were going to be here an stumbled on the information one day while I was surfing the net. The show was ok for what it was (Ring of Honor is no WWE) but the price was right at $35 and there isn't a bad seat in the place.

When the event was over I came back downtown and returned to the Golden Nugget. We went back over to Binion's to run our free play through. One machine had a progressive royal at $1600 for quarters so we played that. I turned my $315 into $301 with an abundance of full houses keeping me alive after not hitting much of anything else.

Dee also ran hers through the same machine. She wasn't doing too hot but managed to pull 2 quads. Despite this she turned her $375 into just $315 which really sucked considering 2 quads.

We finished up the night with some food at the Lanai Express at Fremont. I had Saimen and Dee had Chili. We were going to get our play in here at the Golden Nugget but the place was just jam packed (as was all of Fremont Street) so just came to the room to wind down with some TV before bed.
