Day 4
Saturday February 27, 2016
The day began with us playing video poker here at the Golden Nugget. We played a bank of short pay deuces wild with progressives on everything from the quads up to the royal. We were bleeding on these but then I popped the deuces for a $333 hit. Immediately you could hear everyone on the bank cashing out. Between us and the nice hit with the deuces we were up only $33. We ran my $75 free play through and that didn't go well turning into only $38.

Next up it was the Four Queens. We both have offers for $300 in free play so the plan is to play here for most of the day to take advantage of this. We also have the LVA coupons for $10 in free play and the ACG coupon for 2x points (up to 500). We also have lunch plans here with Justmare & Scott and Yahtzee Mike & Camela. Friends Wayne and Lisa were also there playing and we had one whole side of the bank tied up.

We started off with $1 jacks or better on my card. Things were going well for Dee right off the bat with a straight flush. She continued to do well with 3 more quads. I was hovering but didn't hit any quads at all. By the time we stopped for lunch I was down $100 which was impressive but Dee was also down $100 which wasn't considering the nice hits she had.

It was time for lunch so we cashed out and hit Magnolia's. I ordered a bowl of gumbo and Dee had the French Quarter, the standard 2 eggs, 2 sausage, toast and hash browns. Mike picked up our tab using his comps. Thanks Mike!

When we were done with lunch we went back to the machines. We finished up playing on my card at half dollars. I still didn't hit any quads but Dee hit a few. The final result was +$100 for the short session and we were only down $100 in total on our action. I stopped off at the player's club to have my $10 in free play added and to turn in the AGC coupon for the extra 500 points.

I still had $310 in free play now and decided we'd just run it through quarter jacks to limit volatility. I turned my $310 into $340!

With our play done for the day I took Dee to her favorite bank of penny games where she thinks she's going to win a Mustang. She blew through $20 with no big hits in just a few minutes.

I ran over to the D and grabbed our things from the room and did a $25 match play I had gotten the other day. I played on black and sure enough black popped up for a $50 win.

We said our good byes to Mike and Camela who would be leaving early tomorrow morning and grabbed some dinner to go at Lanai Express at the Fremont. We both got the 2 item combo and used points to cover the cost. We came back to the room to eat and watch TV before I had to leave.

I had a ticket for another Ring of Honor event over at Sam's Town. Tonight's event is a TV taping and lasted for about 4 ½ hours.

I headed back down to the Golden Nugget after this and watched TV and went to bed.
