Day 8

Today is our final full day in town. These short trips sure do go by fast! This morning we once again went downtown.

Today we went back downtown to get our play in at Binion's. We once again both had $225 mailers and were going to repeat the process yet again.

Our first stop was at the Four Queens for breakfast at Magnolia's. I had the Canal Street (French Toast, 2 eggs, and Bacon) and Dee had Simply Jazz (2 eggs, hash browns and toast).

After breakfast went went over to Binion's. We started off on my card and played $1 8/5 bonus. It was an ok session and we hit a fair number of quads to keep alive. We got the desired amount of play in and were up over $200.

We made the switch to Dee's card and did the same with much of the same happening. Dee was doing well on her quads hitting quad threes 4-5 times and aces once. It was too bad she didn't repeat yesterday's aces run. When we were done playing her session we were down $100 and the whole $100 came in earning the last 20 points or so.

We went and took our motherlode swipes and I got a 2 for 1 entree (NOT funny), a free gift and $50 free play. Dee got a 2 for 1 entree (even LESS funny) and 2 free gifts. We went over to the player's club to get the gifts and free play added to my account. The lower gift was a bird night light and the higher gift was a set of ceramic bowls. They were nice but note to Binion's, HOW THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO GET THESE HOME?

We both ran our free play through quarter 8/5 bonus and I turned my $275 into just $230 and Dee turned hers into $200. Between this and the earlier win we were right around even for the trip so far.

Next up we went to pick up the laundry and take a break from a long morning of gaming action. When we got back we went over to the D. Here I had a $100 from my mailer and would use my ACG coupon for $5 free play for every 50 points earned.

We started off playing 8/5 bonus for halves and even though we both hit a quad we were drowning. We were down $600 between us on less than 5k in action. I decided to switch to dollar play to get the action in faster and in hopes of hitting some quads and catching up. Dee hit a few quads but I went quadless dropping another $700. I even switched to DDB for a while with no luck. Dee did ok dropping only $100 and of course that was once again earning the last few points needed to max out the coupon.

I went to the player's club to get my free play added and then ran it through an 8/5 bonus machine for quarters. This was rough too but a few full houses helped me out. In the end I still turned the $200 into $170.

On the way out we stopped at the roulette wheel to play the two $50 match plays from my mailer. The first one I bet black and lost and on the second one I bet off and won it for a $100 hit and a $50 profit.

For dinner we went back over to Binion's to Benny's Brews and BBQ. Dee got the brisket and I got a rack of ribs. I thought the ribs were really good. Dee liked her brisket too but it's way too much food. It also comes with coleslaw, corn on the cob, baked beans and a corn muffin.

After dinner we left the downtown area and took a drive up the strip back to the Linq.

We ended the night with TV and then sleep.
