Day 10
Wednesday June 22, 2016
We got up and finished getting things ready for our move.

We left Rampart and headed to our next hotel, all of the way in Laughlin. The ride was the usual bore and we finally arrived at the Aquarius where we would be spending the next 5 nights. I booked this stay through my host. I also had a mailer for $350 which my host bumped up to $400. Dee also has a mailer for $135 that our host bumped up to $200. She is also giving Dee $75 for her birthday and $100 for our anniversary for a total of $775. I've also got my dividend from last year's action waiting for me which is almost 80,000 points.

When we arrived we were greeted by the Marquee saying Happy Birthday to Dee. We checked in at the VIP area and our host stopped by to greet us. We were assigned room 18073. This is a non – smoking room with a king bed, night stands, table and chairs, arm chair, dresser with flat screen TV and refrigerator. The bathroom is standard issue with a toilet, tub and sink. It has a great river view looking down towards Edgewater, Colorado Belle, Pioneer and Golden Nugget.

We got our things to the room and then it was time for some lunch. We went to Cafe Aquarius. They have a new menu since our last visit. I had pot roast. Dee had a 3 alarm burger that had jalapenos, peppers, pico de gallo, lettuce, tomato, onion and pepper jack cheese and chipotle aioli. Dee loved the burger and the pot roast was pretty good.

Now it was time for casino action. We started off with swiping my card at the kiosk to accept my dividend of close to 80k in points. That will be a nice boost towards free play later in the trip. Since it was good to us in Vegas we chose Spin Poker. Things were pretty good here for the most part. I hit aces right away while Dee hovered but then got beast up. She switched to DDB and tells me oh, I got one. I look over and see she's got 3's and a kicker but it paid 2000. I take a second look and realize she chose the wrong game and it was triple – double bonus. Doesn't matter. All I know is she went from being down close to $200 to being up $300 just like that. From there she hovered +/- $100 the whole time we played. I was up and down +/- $200 at any time. My feature hands were triple quad aces on one hand and 3 hands later hitting triple quad queens. I hit a few other single quads along the way but no major hits. Dee had finally busted out and even lost out on her Hail Mary attempt this time. I was up and we cashed out with a $200 win.

We took a break from the gaming and went to get a snack at Duet. Dee had a coffee and a donut. The donuts were buy one get one for happy hour! I didn't eat my donut because I filled up on cookies and soda earlier!

After the break we hit the machines again. This time with little luck with exception of Dee getting dealt a quad. We actually squeaked out a small win and went to get something to eat.

We had a light dinner at the Cove using the vouchers I get for being a red card holder. Dee had chicken fingers and I had the steak salad. Both were really good and a nice change of pace from the cafe here.

I ran my $500 free play through quarter 9/6 jacks and turned it into $485. No quads, just one flush and straight but a bunch of full houses saved me.

We took one more shot at the Spin Pokers after this and had very little luck. I busted out after only a few hundred in action. Dee went a little longer but also busted out.

We gave up on the gaming and came up here to the room to watch TV for a while and then went to bed.
