Day 15
Monday June 27, 2016
Today started off with some pool time.

When we came back to the room we packed up the rest of our things and then headed out of the Aquarius and out of Laughlin.

The ride was uneventful on the way back to Las Vegas and we were soon downtown. Today we were going to the Four Queens to do my play for the month of June. I have a mail offer for $150 free play which my host was supposed to have fixed and made $225 like it was supposed to have been. They are also running the June celebration where if I earn 1000 points I get an extra $50 in free play.

We started with lunch at Magnolia's Veranda. Dee had French Quarter (2 pancakes, sausage, 2 eggs) and I had a bowl of their gumbo and a house salad. We were both filled up and it was time for VP.

We started off with jacks or better for dollars. It started out well with Dee hitting a bunch of full houses and flushes. I was hovering with no major hits. She hit a quad and doubled her meter and continued to hover for quite a while. This is when it turned for me. I started getting low paired to death, flush 4'd to death and any other bad things that can happen. Even my hail Mary attempts came up empty. Before I knew it I was in for a grand while Dee was still (thankfully hovering). She hit another quad and then the downward spiral started for her. What started out well ended in disaster.

Once we were done we were down $1400. I went to the players club to get the additional free play added to my account. I ran it through half dollar jacks or better and turned the $275 into $300 cash. It helped but dropping over a grand on 12k in action is bullshit.

On the way out of the place we played Dee's favorite penny slot trying to win that damn car. I swear I could have just bought the effing thing by now. We of course lost here too.

We left downtown and landed at the Linq where we'd be spending the next 4 nights. I booked this on a mailed offer of 3 nights, $20 food and $25 free play. The 4th night also came up comped when I made the reservation.

We checked in at the diamond/7* check in area. Things have been smooth here in the past. Today day was no exception. I booked a handicap accessible room with 2 queen beds and in just a few minutes we were checked in and on our way to room 21809. This turned out to be a king suite.

When you enter there is a powder room on the right. Just past there is a wet bar area with coffee maker, bottled water and fridge, There are also seats on the other side. Farther into the room is the living room with L shaped sectional sofa, flat screen TV, end table and coffee table.

The bedroom has a king bed, nightstands, flat screen TV, closet, counter, dresser and work desk. The bathroom has a toilet, vanity and shower.

This room also has a view of the High Roller, Linq promenade, and the pool area.

These rooms aren't fancy at all but I think they did a pretty nice job renovating them.

Once we got our things to the room we got settled in and took a break. Dee wasn't feeling good so stayed in the room the rest of the day. I took a walk over to CVS to get some supplies for the next few days. When I got back I hit the casino.

Since I had a good time Saturday playing craps in Laughlin I took a shot here at the Linq. I got up to the table and bought in for a grand, even though I had no intentions of using it all especially after this morning's ass kicking at the Four Queens. This table was decent. While it wasn't hot, it wasn't cold either. Every shooter hit some numbers and a point or 2. I was definitely a come bettor table and fortunately that's what I was betting. There was one shooter that made a bunch of numbers and 3 points. Oh, wait that was me. The next shooter did the same thing. The shooter after him rolled the dice about 20 times. Unfortunately I was on the 4, 5, and 6. He was rolling 8, 10 & 11 constantly. Of all of his rolls I got paid one time. It was still a good game and had I been betting like a maniac I would have made thousands. Instead I cashed out $2250 for a $1250 win and enough to offset the losses from downtown earlier today and then some. It's just too bad we got killed this afternoon.

I was starving by now so went to Guy Fieri's Vegas. They serve a limited menu later at night so I opted for the Motley Que. It's a BBQ pulled pork sandwich with slaw on it with fries. Last time I got it I was disappointed in the lack of meat on it but tonight it was packed with meat and it was excellent.

I came up here to the room to wind down with some TV and then bed.
