Day 16
Tuesday June 28, 2016
We have officially hit the halfway mark in this trip. It's hard to believe how quickly it went. Luckily for us we still have plenty of more fun ahead of us!

We started off the day with a quick trip to the fitness center then came back to the room to get ready for the day.

Last night I grabbed some cereal and milk at CVS so we ate that for breakfast.

The cousins are arriving today so after we ate we went over to the airport to pick them up. They are scheduled to land at 11:12am. A check of the Air Canada website showed a 20 minute late departure and that they be arriving 23 minutes later than scheduled. Around 11:45am they arrived in baggage claim. We waited for their luggage and then we were on our way.

For lunch we went to Jack in the Box for a light lunch. Dee got 2 tacos and I got 2 tacos and a Jr bacon cheeseburger. We didn't want to eat too much because I've got dinner reservations for later tonight.

After a junk food meal we were headed back to the Linq. When we arrived Dee checked into her room. I booked this on an offer that was good for 2 nights, $15 free play and $10 food. The 4th night is booked at $41 which we will use points to cover. She checked in at the diamond/7* area and was quickly assigned room 31813. This is a non smoking king room with a king bed, nightstands, flat screen TV, counter and closet with fridge. The bathroom is basic with a vanity, tub and toilet. It has a view of the pool area. This room is actually where the cousins will be staying. We got to the room which the girl said was actually 31816 and obviously couldn't get in. We went back to the front desk and she realized she gave us the right keys but the wrong room number.

We left the cousins alone so they could get settled in and rest for a while. We came back to our room to hang out and take it easy. It's one of the few non play days we've got this trip.

We met up with the cousins for dinner tonight and went over to the Flamingo to Center Cut Steakhouse. I made a quick stop at the player's club to get 2 of my 7* $100 celebration dinner vouchers. We had a reservation and were seated right away. I ordered the small filet mignon, au gratin potatoes and creamed spinach. Dee tried the linguine and clam sauce. In comparison to Spiedini last week she said Spiedini had a better sauce but Center Cut had more clams (WAY more clams). We were at $190 on the bill so I got a piece of chocolate cake to go just to get to the $200 mark.

It wasn't very late but it had been a long day for us and an even longer travel day for the cousins so they went to their room.

Me and Dee got our little bits of free play and for some fun played a bunch of penny slots. We got quite a bit of play out of the $40 but as always when you play these games, we lost.

We were done for the day and came up here and crashed for the night.
