Day 17
Wednesday June 29, 2016
For breakfast we went over to the Cromwell and Giada. Me and Dee have been here a few times but the cousins haven't. The last time we were here we enjoyed the breakfast so thought we'd try it again. I had the strawberry polenta waffle that I had last time. Dee had the breakfast contadina ( 2 eggs, toast, spinach salad, crispy polenta). I used a 7* celebration dinner to cover the bill. We were a little short of the $100 so we got some pastry to go.

After breakfast we headed out for the day. The cousins went off in their own direction and me and Dee went downtown to the D. I had a mailer for 4 nights, $100 free play, $150 in food and two $50 match plays. They are also offering 3x points on video poker today.

We settled in at some machines and started banging away. Things were not good for me while Dee hovered for a while. I was down over $200 already when I got dealt aces with a kicker but, was only playing bonus poker. Dee hit just one quad and eventually busted out.

We went to the roulette table next to run my 2 match plays. One the first one I bet black and it hit. The second one I bet odd and single zero came up for 1 win and 1 loss and a $50 winner. That was only the 3rd match play loss of the trip.

We took a break for lunch and went over to the Four Queens to meet up with Just Mare at Magnolia's. Dee had the Cobb Salad and I had a bowl of Gumbo with a side of rice. Everything was standard issue for Magnolia's. Mare covered the bill with her food credits and also left the tip. Thanks for lunch Mare.

We went back over to the D to finish up our play. Once again I was getting killed. I was actually losing more playing halves today than I did playing dollars over st the Four Queens the other day. I even switched machines twice hoping it would make a difference but it didn't. Dee busted out on her machine too and moved to another one. Once she moved she hit 3 bonus quads including deal 4's and a regular quad. She also got dealt 4 to a royal with a pair of jacks and asks me if she's supposed to dump the jack (she knows she's supposed to so I don't know why she asked). I said absolutely and up popped the king of clubs for her 4th royal of the trip and our 6th in total for a $2000 hand pay. This was a great turn of events as we were already down almost a grand when she hit it. I got the rest of our play in while she waited for her cash to be delivered.

When we were done with our action I ran the $100 free play through quarters turning it into $98 thanks to a few full houses and we got out of the D with a fistful of cash.

So we get to the valet area and I'm 3rd in line, turn in my ticket behind the other 2 people. In like 2 minutes both of their cars show up but they are no where to be found. For some reason they decided it's ok to go back inside and do whatever they were doing. I personally think she was doing him in the toilet since she was dressed like a tramp and driving and expensive car. In the mean time the valet couldn't go anywhere and the valet area was tied up with both of their cars. Like 20 minutes later they finally show up and then so does our car. So even though it's early, in the report for this, I give a big eff you to the two of them. Assholes like that should take the bus.

We came back to the Linq and met back up with the cousins for a show at the Flamingo. Tonight we went to see Jeff Civillico. He is a juggler that also does comedy. It was an entertaining show but it's pricey. I was glad I used our free diamond and 7* tickets. Here's a tip if you want to go. Look for 2 for 1 tickets or discounted tickets. They are all over the place. Also, avoid the VIP seats. There's not a bad seat in the house and it's Matre 'D seating. VIP gets you front row and a meet and greet after the show. The problem is they are twice the price and Jeff does a meet and greet with EVERYONE after the show if you want.

After the show we had dinner (snacks) in the diamond lounge. We needed a break from the big meals tonight and thing was option.

After dinner I also got my 2015 7* vouchers to ride the high roller. Dee refused to go so I went with the cousins and had the open bar passes. It's really nothing exciting but I was glad to finally do it. The views are awesome for about the middle 20 minutes of the 30 minute trip. I can also say don't' waste your money on the open bar tickets. How many drinks can you down in 30 minutes to make it worth almost twice the price of the regular tickets? Honestly though if I never do it again, I'd be ok with that but, I was glad I got to do it.
