Day 26
Friday July 8, 2016
We got up and the first order of business was to head to the bank in another one of those fun trips. We made a few other stops before we came back downtown.

After we got back to Main Street Station we headed over to the Four Queens. The plan here today is to play on both of our cards because we both got offers for $300 in free play. Also, Yahtzee Mike and Camela arrived late last night and we were going to hang out with them today.

For lunch and went to Magnolia's. I had a bowl of Gumbo with a side of rice and a hot open turkey sandwich. Dee had some garden skillet egg dish. I covered the bill with comps and we were back to the machines.

We started off on Dee's card on the jacks machines. Things here were not good. We hit just enough quads to not go totally broke but there just weren't enough of them. With no real memorable hands we just kept feeding in bills. We finished Dee's action with a miserable $900 loss thanks to a few last minute quads and full houses because it was almost much worse before those.

We switched over to Dee's card and began to pound away. Things this time around were not as bad. That doesn't mean they were good though. I did hit a few quads and a straight flush to get ahead a little bit but just as fast as I hit those and got ahead by $200, I was down $200. We were both feeding in bills much faster than I would have liked. Again some good hits towards the end saved the session and we lost $400.

We ran our free play through 50¢ jacks and turned her $300 into $215 and my $300 into $285 easing some of the losses from dollar play.

Mike and Camela had tickets to a show but wanted to do dinner afterwards with us. We decided that since we were going to play at Binion's tomorrow we would do that today while they were at the show.

Like at the Four Queens we both got offers for $300 in free play and the plan was to play on both of our cards today. We started off on my card with 8/5 bonus for dollars. It was choppy here with no major hits and when we finally had my play in we were down $300.

We went over and did my mother lode spins. On spin 1 I got $10 free play, on spin 2 I got $10 cafe/deli credit and on spin 3, I got $20 cafe/deli credit.

We switched over to Dee's card and started banging away again. Things were not good for her with no quads and few hits better than 2 pair. I popped quad deuces early on followed by aces. A few minutes later I got dealt quad nines. I had the meter at $1000 while Dee fed in more bills. I had the credit meter at 1000 then 900, then 800, then 700 all of the way back to under $400. I was not doing well and just getting low paired and flush 4'd to death. Then I hit aces again to get back into it shooting the meter back up to over $700 just so it could bleed more. Dee had switched machines because she was getting killed and did a little better hitting a few quads. She actually cashed out a small profit on that machine but the first machine killed her. I cashed out with only $300 a winnings which was awful considering the number of quads I hit which included aces twice.

Once we had her action run through we went over and did her mother lode spins. On her first spin she got a free drink. On spin 2 she got free gift and on her third spin she got another free gift. The first gift was some stupid drink container the looked like the zip line platform. They gave her a deck of cards instead. The better gift was a picnic blanket which Dee actually wanted.

We went back to the machines and ran our free play through quarter progressive 8/5 bonus. Thanks to a quad she kept all $300 of hers and I hit the dreaded king high straight flush to turn my $310 into $340

All in total we did ok finishing up $150. Not a bad result considering the swings but not great when you factor in the bonus quads and aces.

We met up with Yahtzee Mike and Camela and went to dinner at Benny's Smokin' BBQ and Brews with Mike and Camela. I got the ½ rack of ribs, corn bread, coleslaw, corn on the cob and beans. Dee had the ½ chicken that came with the same. The food here is excellent and we all enjoyed our meals.

It was getting late and now after 11pm and we'd be on the go since early this morning. We said goodnight to everyone and came back here to Main Street Station and wrapped up the night with TV.
