Day 29
Monday July 11, 2016
We slept in today and when we got up and started off the day with in room breakfast. We lounged around for a while this morning prepping for the trip home a bi and watching TV.

We had to take our clothes to the laundromat so headed out for a while to drop that off and just to get out for a bit.

For lunch we hit Jack in the Box one last time for some tacos and chicken to hold us over until dinner.

Next up was a stop at the Pinball Hall of Fame. I had planned to stop here a few times this trip but it went by so fast that we haven't been here in almost a month. I went in and played while Dee stayed out in the car and read her book. As always a good time and only a few bucks.

We came back to Treasure Island and when we got to the room saw it wasn't cleaned and it was 5pm. I called housekeeping and no one answered the phone. I called the front desk and they said they send someone up.

We hit the casino to get my play in today. It was ok here for me but Dee got whacked. I was hovering while she was feeding in bills. She made a Hail Mary attempt after being down over $350 with very little action. Of course while she is playing double-double I was the one that hit aces. She switched machines and started hitting some stuff. Her meter was slowly growing. She hit a few quads about 5 hands apart from each other and a bunch of full houses. Next thing I knew she had close to $500 on the meter which was pretty good considering she was in for 6 total. I of course hit aces again, this time with the kicker (ugh). We kept plugging along and I held three fives and landed the 4th one but I heard her groan. I look over and shes got a dealt flush with 4 to a royal. She dumped the odd card and up popped the ace for another royal flush and my quad was completely overshadowed.

We took a break for dinner and went to the Seafood Shack. I don't do seafood but they had plenty of other things to choose from. I also had a 2 for 1 entree coupon that came with the room. Not knowing how I stand on comps I like to keep my charges low until I understand how their system works. I had Cajun blackened chicken with rice and Dee had a Shack Burger. My food was good but the sausage had the taste and texture of a spicy hot dog. Other than that the meal was good.

We returned to the casino to get the rest of my play in and realized I had 4 entries into their daily Wheel of Fortune Slot tournament. I did 3 sessions and Dee did one. This is a low end tournament with 16 prizes totaling $1000 in free play with the top prize being $250 free play. The guy running the tournament said you needed at least 4000 points to get in the money. Let's just say that Dee didn't live up to her standard of killing it. Our scores combined didn't mean anything, no way we were going to make the money in this low rent tournament.

We went back to the machines and started pounding away again. Dee hovered but went through streaks of nothing. I grew my meter from the start hitting a few quads. I can't recall how many quads I hit but there was one pocket of play where I hit 3 within about 20 hands that really helped. Dee was struggling but I continued to do well and hover. Then I hear her groan again. I look over and see a club flush with 4 to a royal on her screen again. She dumped the odd card and boom, up pops the 6 of clubs to complete the flush again. So it's not a royal but it was exciting to see a flush return to the screen because normally when we do this we get nothing or a royal.

Dee eventually busted out and struck out on her hail Mary attempt too. I was up $300 though so offset her $200 loss.

We ran my $150 free play through and turned it into $257.50 thanks to two quads and a bunch of full houses. I also cashed in $50 worth of points and ran that through in a bloodbath turning it into $15 in the worst free play run through I've ever had.

We had our action in for the day and decided we'd get cereal at CVS again for breakfast and avoid the restaurants.

We came up to the room and watched TV for a while before going to bed.
