Day 13
Wednesday December 21, 2016
For breakfast I went to CVS across the street and got us some cereal and milk. Sure, we could have gone to a restaurant but after almost 2 weeks of restaurant food sometimes simple is better.

We hung out in the room for a while just chilling and then left to go to Harrah's for the show. We had general admission tickets but thanks to being 7* we got pretty good seats about 7 rows back and centered. The show was good with Mac Kings comedy and magic. Most of his tricks were tricks we just saw last night at Mat Franco and some were different than I've seen before. Overall it was a good show and a decent way to kill an afternoon.

For lunch we went to the food court at Harrah's and tried their noodle bar restaurant. We got some vegetable spring rolls to share and the supreme lo mein that had shrimp, chicken and pork in it. It was tasty but a bit pricey with the bill coming in at over $30 with one beverage.

We came back to the room for a while to rest before our evening. The night started by going to Bally's to see the Bronx Wanderers. This is a tribute group that does songs from the 60's and early 70's. When we got there and the lady scanned our tickets she said they were for yesterday. I about crapped myself but I knew it wasn't our fault, other than not checking them closely enough. The lady said to just go to the box office and they'd swap them out. So the 10 mile trek back down through the casino to the box office and the tickets got swapped with no problems. Then the 10 miles back to the showroom.

The show was excellent but it is pricey especially for a tribute act. Lots of energy and song that everyone knows kept the show flowing.

For dinner we went to Giada here at the Cromwell. Dee had white lasagna and I had the 7oz filet mignon. Dee said her dish was excellent but way too small. My meal was full of flavor and cooked perfectly but also a bit small. Had I not filled up on bread I would have left hungry which has been my experience at this place. For dessert we split a chocolate peanut butter tart and it was excellent but also pricey at $13. The total bill was $108 with $100 coming off with Dee's annual $100 celebration dinner for being diamond and points for the balance.

After dinner Dee came up to the room and I went to the casino to play craps. The table was decent to start with a few numbers being hit by each shooter. It was enough to get a small win for a while. It got tough for a few shooters but then we had a lady shoot for about 10 minutes and made some decent money. I sucked on 2 of my turns but the other players were doing well enough to offset my poor shooting. It turned for a while again and I got the dice and rolled for 10 minutes on a dead table and got a head quite a bit. I played a bit longer and lost about ½ of what I was up but then colored up with a $950 win. Not as good as it almost was but better than being down big before the big turn around happened. I would have have liked to played longer but didn't want to push it. In the past I would have not only lost all of the profit but played so long I would have lost the initial buy in too. I don't do that shit any more!

After I cashed in I came up to the room and watched TV with Dee and then we went to bed.

Total win/loss for the day $950
