Day 20
Wednesday December 28, 2016
We slept in today due to the late night night last night. When we finally got up we had an in room breakfast again and just chilled.

I headed out for the day to drop off laundry, go to the bank and then to go to the Pinball Hall of Fame. Dee hung back here and read her books and got caught up on e-mails and stuff like that. First stop was to drop off laundry for pick up tomorrow afternoon.

From here it was to the bank. This wasn't a walk of shame to the bank but just the opposite. This was a fun trip to the bank.

From the bank it was a quick stop at Jack in The Box for some tacos and a Jr bacon cheeseburger and then off to the Pinball Hall of Fame. I had a great time at the Pinball Hall of Fame like I always do and played a lot of games for a few hours.

I came back to Rampart and it was time for more video poker. Today we played Spin Poker and proceeded to get our asses kicked to the tune of $900 in about 45 minutes. It was brutal with Dee hitting no quads and not getting anywhere near enough dealt winners. I hit a few quads but nothing special. I didn't get beat up as much but it wasn't a fun session and we only got in 6kin action between us.

For dinner we went to JC's Irish Pub and met up with our friend Stacy. Dee had fish and chips and I had Sheppard's pie. This is my favorite dish here and I always enjoy it. Today it was different though. It had what tasted like Italian seasoning and/or an excessive amount of thyme. It overpowered the entire dish. We mentioned it to the server who went and asked the chef. She came back and said he tasted it and said there might have been too much beef stock in it. Beef stock? Uh, no. Beef stock doesn't numb your mouth and over power the rest of the food like this did. We had a good visit with Stacy and after dinner it was back to the casino.

We took another shot at Spin Poker and the same thing happened again as before. We dropped another $500 between us in short order and again got very little play out of it.

We went to a different bank of machines and tried again with identical results. Today is really turning into a nightmare as we're getting our asses handed to us and not even getting any play in as another $400 was gone.

We gave up on Spin Poker and moved to the 10 coin 3/5 play deuces machines we played the other day. In the past I usually did well on these. Dee played triple play and I played 5 play. Dee got beat up from the beginning. I was doing better hovering for a while but then started to lose. I got dealt a quint to get back to even but then continued to lose. Dee busted out another $400 and I called it quits down only $200. Again another $600 was gone and we haven't hit our play goal for the day yet.

At this time I decided to pull the plug on gaming today. In what amounts to a total of 2 – 2 ½ hours we dropped more than half of what took us 2 weeks to accumulate. If Dee's offers drop so be it. I just couldn't justify losing anything else tonight with the amount we were already down on such little action.

Dee had a small ticket left from her last video poker loss so we machine hopped some penny games. We got to play for a while on this hitting a few bonus rounds but nothing major.

Even with today's results it's looking like this is going to be another winning trip despite the bad days we had earlier in the trip.

We came up to the room to wind down with some TV and then went to sleep.

Total win/loss for the day - $2400
Total Comps for the day $189
Total Coin - In for the day $15042
Room(s) $139
