Day 21
Thursday December 29, 2016
Well it's hard to believe but today is the final day of this trip. It really went fast.

When we got up we started getting our things together to pack up and got ready for the day.

We left Rampart and went over to the Suncoast for a quick stop. Since Boyd has decided to cut my offers to next to nothing I decided not to play here at their properties for a while. I do have a large amount of points on my card though. I ran in real quick, stopped at the players club and pulled $500 worth of points. We hit the Deli for breakfast/lunch. Dee had a bagel and I had Oriental Chicken Salad and we were on our way.

We were back on the road and off to pick up our laundry. All went well here and our next stop was to the post office to mail a few things to some people back home.

From here we made our way to Caesars Palace. We have a few things to do here today. First is dinner reservation. Second is to get a point onto each of our cards to keep our current points active for 6 more months which is when our next trip to a Caesars property will probably be. Third will be to pull $625 worth of comps for $500 in free play. Finally tonight is the night we had tickets to see Elton John. I've seen Elton twice before in the past. Once in Atlantic City and once here in Las Vegas when he was “Face to Face” with Billy Joel. This would be Dee's first time ever seeing him. Now for a fun fact, Dee's mom has the exact same birthday as Elton John does!

We went to Old Homestead at Caesars for our final dinner of the trip to use my final $100 celebration dinner voucher for being 7*. Other than a trip to Atlantis in the Bahamas in February this is pretty much my final event as a 7* player as I won't be renewing. Dee had giant meatball and a kitchen sink salad. I had the filet mignon and potatoes gratin. I tried some of Dee's meatball and it was excellent although a bit heavy on the garlic. My steak was cooked perfectly and the potatoes were creamy and really rich. We split a piece of chocolate cake for dessert and it was so big we couldn't even finish it. It will be going on the plane tomorrow!

After dinner we went to the show. We had pretty good seats and I got these tickets with part of my $500 folio credit form my 7* trip at the Cromwell last week. Our seats were in rear orchestra section 6 row O seats 601 & 602. This is the section to the left of the stage but it was the first 2 seats. Plus the piano is to the far left of the stage so it was actually a better seat than being in the center of the stage. The show was great and we both enjoyed it. Elton said he's been touring for over 47 years. He did most of his hits and a few other songs that I wasn't too familiar with and the show went 2 hours.

The next order of business was to get my free play set up. We went in search of one of the VP games that wasn't the most awful just to run the free play through. I decided to run it through a really bad BJ game and we turned the $500 into $495 in cash.

It was a bit of a madhouse at Caesars so we took our time leaving before coming back up here to Rampart. When we returned we just came up to the room and ended our day after a great show.

When we got back up here we finished packing up for tomorrow's move and got everything in order for the trip home.
