Day 4
Friday June 23, 2017
We slept in and then got ready for the day and today's move.

When we left the Palms we headed for M. We both have mailers for 2 nights, 2 buffets and $100 (me) and $75 in free play (Dee), 6x points on slots and 2x points on VP. We wouldn't be staying here but were planning on playing and going to lunch at the buffet.

We chose to play 9/6 jacks for dollars. It was good from the start with Dee popping a quad (of course it was aces). I also popped some quads and also hit stupid aces. For me the quads kept coming but flush 4 was deadly again. I went through a few pockets where I would get my ass kicked but did well for the most part. There was a time that between us we were up over $800. We kept playing on though and Dee hit a few more quads and we got out of the session with a $625 win.

For lunch we hit the buffet using my mailer coupon. This is still one of the better buffets out there. It's pricey if you don't have a coupon or do the play and eat promo. As usual we ate way too much and probably should have been rolled out of there.

We hit the machines again and this time played Dee's card. This session was the complete opposite from the last one. Quads were sparse and of course I hit aces again. I had a rough time with the flush 4 deal again and there was quite a while that I had more quads then full houses. We lost most of what we won earlier and dropped $500 between us.

We ran our free play through quarter jacks and Dee turned her $75 into $85 and turned my $100 into $85. All in all it wasn't a terrible visit to M but it could have been a whole lot better.

Today's move take us out to Summerlin and the JW Marriott at Rampart Casino. I booked this 3 night stay with a mail offer of 3 nights, $20 food and $525 free play. Dee has a similar offer of $300, $30 in food and $60 food for her birthday.

I checked in and we are in the Spa tower in room 4114. We actually had this room in the past. It's a handicap accessible room with 2 queen beds, a nightstand, dresser with TV on it, work desk and arm chair in the corner. The main bathroom has a dual vanity sink, shower stall, whirlpool tub and toilet room. There is a second bathroom that's fully handicap accessible with a roll in shower, pedestal sink and toilet all fully surround with safety bars.

Since we had to get a lot of play in here over the next few days we got started on that. We chose a bank of machines with 3/5 play and played 8/5 bonus. Things were tough for me here. I dropped $200 in about 10 minutes and had only gotten $350 in play out of it. I can't remember getting so many hands where I got no pay out at all. I had one chunk where I went 6 hands and won a total of 5 coins. I was not amused. Dee was getting beat up but popped aces to get back into it. I bought in again and things got a little better for me when I hit aces and kings on back to back hands. We continued to play and things got a little better for me and smoothed out. I was still getting way too many hands with no pay off though. We took a break for dinner and Dee was even and I was down $150.

We were meeting our friend Gary for dinner and were going to go to the cafe but there was a pretty long line to get in and the place was packed. Not wanting to wait we went to the buffet, not that we needed another buffet. Tonight was seafood night and this buffet was $25 a head. That is WAY too much for this buffet which is mediocre at best. It is what it is and we dealt with it. We ate too much but had a good time with Gary. After dinner Gary headed out and we hit the machines again.

This time we tried Spin Poker. Dee got crushed at first but bought in again and it smoothed out for her. I was doing well at first getting lots of dealt winners like flushes, full houses and straight. I hovered around even for the whole session and oddly I had run over 3k through the machine without hitting a single quad. I finally did get one and soon after another which was aces. Dee was up and down and when we finally quit had dropped $300 and I cashed out even.

We went to the players club to get my free play activated and tried to get Dee's activated too. They didn't have the power to activate the free play on her offer because I was the one that was booked. I had to go to the host office and have this done and since my host has left the company I didn't know how this was going to go. I dealt with a host I'm not very fond of but she took care of it.

Next we played a few penny slots for fun but had little luck on them. We did get some play but not as much as I would have liked.

At the end of the night I ran today's allotment of free play through 10 play ugly ducks for dimes. I turned the $175 into $182 cash.

We wrapped up with $10 match play on roulette. I bet the normal black and 35 black came up for the $20 win.

We came up to the room for some TV and went to bed after a long day of play.
