Day 6
Sunday June 25, 2017
We started off with a ride to South Point to go to the Casino Chip show only to find out that it ended yesterday. My stupidity. I even had it on my calendar for yesterday.

We headed downtown next with a quick stop at the Rio to pick up some slot cards. Stupid me forgot to bring my cards with me and we're going to Bally's later tonight for a show. I need them for free parking. I was in and out of there pretty quickly and we were off to the D to check in. I booked this on a mail offer of 4 nights, $150 food, $100 free play, (2) $50 match plays and 2 show tickets.

The line was a mile long so we just went upstairs to play. I went to the player's club to get my food vouchers, to activate the LVA coupon for $5 for every 50 points earned (up to $100) and the $25 match play.

We played at the Vue Bar upstairs on 8/5 bonus. The progressive was over $1200 and the straight flush was over $100. Dee was popping off quads one after another including aces. Odd thing was most of them were dealt. Where were those yesterday when we were playing 5/10 play?? I was struggling to hit much of anything. Dee hovered for quite a while and I was just losing. I decided to take a shot at the double – double game because the regular quad was almost $100 and I hadn't hit a quad yet. The pay table is bad at 8/5. I wasn't doing well here either and dropped another $100 in no time. I decided I'd take one more shot and right away popped aces. I continued to play wanting to take down the regular quad that was now over $100 and a few minutes later I hit aces again. About a minute later someone else nabbed it so I immediately switched back to bonus. The regular quad here was closing in on $50 now and I wanted it. Instead I hit deuces twice and fours. Finally I nailed quad nines and took it down for over $50. Dee started bleeding at this time so cashed out even. It was kind of a tough one considering the amount of quads she had hit earlier. I cashed out with a $200 win and we went to check in.

Checking in should have been easy but was not. We got to the counter right away and for some reason the room they had blocked for us was on hold. The girl decided to make a bunch of calls to find out why instead of just giving us another room. Eventually she found out it wasn't cleaned yet. Really? 20 minutes of standing there because it's dirty. No problem, give me another room. But seriously, if there is a room blocked for an arriving guest shouldn't this room be cleaned first? We were eventually assigned room 504. This is a king room. It has a king bed, nightstands, table & chairs, dresser, work desk, and TV with a view of a stage below. This room is noisy as a fuck but Dee says it doesn't bother her and I sleep with ear plugs so really don't care either. The bathroom is standing shower stall, toilet and vanity.

We went back to the casino to finish our play. First stop was to play my match plays. For the match plays we went to the roulette table. I did my usual betting the first one on black and red came up for the $50 loss. One the second coupon I played odd and 6 came up for the $50 loss. The 3rd match was $25 and I played high and low came up for 3 losses in a row for a net of loss of $125 with match plays here today. I don't think I've ever lost that many in a row before and I was aggravated that the $200 we were up on the day was almost gone in 3 minutes.

We went back to the machines but had reservation for dinner at 5pm so I decided to play dollars to get the rest of the action in to no avail. Not only did we not get the action in we dropped $225 in no time and still didn't have our play in and would have to come back after the show later tonight. Had I known we were going to have to go back to finish playing I would have never jumped to dollars.

For dinner we had reservations at Andiamo, the Italian Steakhouse here at the D. Tonight we would be eating a bit lighter than we normally do here opting for Caesar salad (prepared table side) and we each got the giant meatball. Our server was Sandy and we liked her so requested her for tomorrow. Tomorrow we'll be returning and having a full meal. The food tonight was excellent for what we had and we were full when we left.

We left the D after dinner and went up to the strip and to Bally's. Dee got her monthly free tickets for being diamond while we were at the Rio last week. Tonight we were going to see Solid Gold Soul. This is a tribute to the sounds of Motown and Soul with covers of people like James Brown, Dionne Warwick, Four Tops, Sam Cook and more. The show was pretty good and everyone there seemed to be having a good time. I'd recommend the show if you like this type of music but be sure to look for discounts because it carries a regular price of $80 and that's WAY too much.

We left Bally's and headed back to the D. Since it was getting late I wanted to get the rest of the action in so chose to play 50¢ machines. Dee popped quad fours for the $100 hit and I hovered most of the time. When we had enough play in to max out the coupon I was even and Dee was up $75.

I went back to the players club to have the free play added to my account. I took the $200 in free play and ran it through 8/5 Bonus Progressive (it was over $1400) turning it into $200 in cash thanks to a few full houses and flushes.

It was a pretty long day at this point so we wrapped up by coming back to Rampart, hitting the Jacuzzi only to find it didn't work (so it was a bath instead) and heading to bed.
