Day 10
Thursday June 29, 2017
We were up early this morning to get some play in. We started with 5 play today. It was a good session with Dee hitting the ultra dreaded A2345 straight flush right away. She hovered for a longtime before bleeding but then went into a quad frenzy popping ½ dozen in about 5 minutes. I was hitting enough quads and all but one were of the bonus variety. A few times I even hit 2 quads on one hand. Then I'd go through the fast bleed and hit another bonus quad to get back in it. The highlight was being dealt a flush with 4 to a royal which quickly became a low light when I only ended up with a flush and a high pair. We cashed out with a $300 win between us and came to the room to get ready for a day at the pool.

At 11am we hit the pool and moved into a cabana I booked through our host. As a red card holder I get 4 hours a day for free and we booked the other 4 hours at a special rate of $60. These cabanas are nothing fancy but they'll provide enough shade so that we can spend more than an hour at the pool with the cousins. We've got this cabana until 7pm and have plans to spend most of the day out here at the pool. Luckily it was slow today because they didn't have my reservation on their schedule. I checked for Sunday when we'd be doing this again and they did have us listed for that day.

For lunch we ordered some food from the River's Edge the bar/cafe here at the new pool. I had a cheese burger and Dee had a chicken wrap. The food all pre - prepared and was basic but filled the void.

It was getting late and our cabana time was just about over so we headed up to the room to get cleaned up.

We hit the casino for some more video poker. This time we played more 5 play. A pretty good session for Dee who was hitting lots of full houses dealt winners. The highlight of the session was getting dealt 3 aces and drawing a quad on one line. The following hand she was dealt 3 aces again an lands the quad on 2 lines. So that was 3 sets of aces on 2 deals. I wasn't doing as well as her but I hovered for the most part and I cashed out even. She cashed out with a $200 win.

We all met up again and had inner at the Cove using my weekly vouchers. I ordered a steak salad that we shared and the cousins got a shrimp dish to share. We also got some pizza that all of us shared too. The food here is pretty good and better than the cafe but the portions of some items are quite small.

After dinner we hit the machines opting for for more 5 play. The session was not good. Few quads and dealt winners and in no time we lost about $400.

It wasn't that late but after a long day at the pool baking in the sun we were both pretty beat so came up here to the room to wind down with some TV and sleep.
