Happy Canada Day To My Canadian Readers
We started off the morning with breakfast at the buffet using our weekly vouchers for being red and green card holders. We were also seated in the VIP area with the usual table of extra goodies, cloth napkins and tablecloths. As always the buffet here is mediocre at best but the price is right and it does the trick.

We ate too much so came up to the room to rest for a while as we went into food comas.

After the break we headed out to Harrah's again today because Dee had an appointment at 2pm to get her hair done. We got there early and started off playing some airport deuces again. It wasn't good with Dee dropping 2 bills in about 7 minutes. I did better hitting a few dirty royals. I only dropped about $50.

I took Dee downstairs to the salon and went back up to the casino and played more video poker. For me it was more of the same. I dropped $50 in no time.

I switched to bonus deuces 50 play for nickels. This was a wild roller coaster. I ranged from being even and hovering for a while to being down almost $500. A large number of 4 card wild royals helped. I also got dealt natural quad fours which didn't really amuse me. I was just about busted when I got dealt a dirty royal and then a straight flush. I got up by over $100 and cashed out even. We had just over 10k in for the day so I decided to pull the plug and keep the losses to a minimum. My goal was to do 25k but this place just doesn't deserve the action with their shitty video poker.

I stopped by Total Rewards and got my $125 in free play. This was a fiasco like it always is because they never have my offer on the kiosk and they have to search for it when I get there. They finally got it straightened out.

I still had some time before Dee was done so played some craps. The table was choppy to bad. Not much was happening but most shooters went out on their first roll so the losses were kept to a minimum because I was making come bets. It was getting close to time to get Dee and we finally had a shooter. He had hit 3 points and a few other numbers. Unfortunately he went out after that. I colored up down only $75.

It was about time for Dee to be finished with her appointment so I went downstairs and got her and we came back up to the casino. We ran $25 of the free play through some penny slots and turned it into $20. The $100 I ran through stupid 8/5 jacks single line quarters. The pay table was actually meaningless because I didn't hit anything better than trips with exception of a straight flush that saved me. Even with the straight flush I only got out with $125.

We went to the diamond lounge to get something to eat afterwards. Today they offered tacos and some salads. We loaded up on that slop and left.

We came back down to the Aquarius and met up with the cousins in the suite and just chilled out for a while.

Now it was time to get out to the pool area where we were registered for the Rockets on the River Fireworks show. They had hot dogs, chips, watermelon, cupcakes, and drinks available here and we were able to watch the fireworks without being out on the river walk with the masses. The show is good but I think we would have had a better view from our suite.

When the fireworks were over we hit the casino for some action. I played a variety of 3/5/10 play and got my ass kicked. Dee was getting beat up too but then hit her first royal of the trip. We played a bit longer but it was so bad I pulled the plug so we'd be up a little on the day after hitting a royal. The problem is we got very little play and only cashed out with a $500 win and that's after hitting the royal.

We came up to the room and watched TV for a bit and then went to bed.
