Day 16
Wednesday July 5, 2017
Today we began the day with in room breakfast and TV.

Afterwards we got ready for a little while at the pool. We stayed out there as long as we could and then once we were well roasted and baked to a golden brown decided to come back in.

We got cleaned up and ready for the rest of the day and hit the casino. We found Jimbo and Katy and played VP together. Quarter five play was the game and it was a good if not great session all around. We were both hovering for the early part of the session. A few quads to keep level and some dealt winners. One hand I got dealt 4 to a royal in diamonds and nailed it on the bottom line. This is a great start to the day. We kept plugging along and an hour and 21 minutes later on a 3 card hold I hit a diamond royal on line 4. Two royals in one session. It's been years since I've done that! While we were taking pictures and cheering Jimbo hit a royal too. His was also in diamonds. Dee started getting beat up and was down around $250 and switched to DDB in her Hail Mary attempt. She got dealt 3 aces and not only hit aces on the bottom line but got the kicker too. We continued to plug along hitting lots of quads and multiple sets of aces. Dee even held 4 to a straight flush and landed it on 2 lines. It was one of those sessions you just don't want to end but things started to turn and we got out of there before bad things started happening. Between all of the quads, royals, dealt winners and aces we walked away from the session with over $2200 in winnings.

We came up here to the room to take a break for a while and ended up falling asleep for about 2 hours. I'm guessing the sun kicked our asses this morning at the pool.

We were going to play more this afternoon but the nap sort of messed that up so we just chilled out and got ready for dinner.

For dinner I made reservations at Shizen at a Teppanyaki Hibachi style table for us, the cousins and our friends Jimbo and Katy. I ordered the filet and chicken and Dee ordered the shrimp and scallops only to be told there were no scallops so she went with chicken. I thought everything was decent and the show was standard “exhibition style” ho hum stuff with the fried rice heart and onion volcano. Earlier Jimbo scored a $150 comp to the place we charged the balance to the room and we'll take care of the rest with our comps. That's for the comp Jim!

After dinner we hit the casino for a little while longer playing more 5 play. It was a tough session for me up and down like a roller coaster. I even hit aces and various other quads but couldn't keep alive. It was mostly from a lack of dealt winners. Dee was also all over the place mostly getting her ass kicked too. She switched to DDB in a Hail Mary attempt and like before got dealt three aces. She didn't hit shit this time except for 3 aces. A few minutes later she gets 3 aces again and not only hits aces but hits them on 2 out of 3 lines. We continued to play and hear Katy yell “I got a royal”. I look over and yup, it's in diamonds. We all looked over to Dee and said you're the only one that hasn't hit one, let's do this. It didn't happen and with my ass kicking and Dee's small win we cashed out of these machines with a $100 loss. Considering the amount of play we got that's not bad at all except for $400 worth of aces was pretty much what saved us.

We moved back to the machines we were playing earlier this morning and Dee hit aces right away. I was up and down with no major hits other than quads here and there. Dee popped aces again and hovered for the most part for the rest of the time we played. I cashed out even and She had a $200 win.

Next up was a stop at the players club to cash in Dee's points. She's cashed in a few here and there over the last few years we've been playing here but has amassed over $500 worth. We cashed out $500 and went to the cage to collect the cash.

We went to single line quarters to run Dee's $100 in free play through the machines. She didn't hit much of anything and turned the $100 into $83. We continued to play while I absolutely got my ass kicked. She hovered right around the $100 mark the entire time. It's amazing that 2 people playing side by side can have such different results especially when neither of us hit a quad. She cashed out even at $100 and I was down $100.

We came up here to the room and finished up with some TV.
