Day 20
Sunday July 9, 2017
We were up and met Mike and Camela at the Hawthorne Grill for breakfast. Last night my host gave us a $100 comp to the place. We had the breakfast buffet there. It's small but really good. The only problem is that it's $30 a pop. I'd never pay this.

After breakfast we came up to the room to get packed up for the move. When we left Rampart we went out to the laundromat to drop off laundry. From there it was off to the Westgate to make some sports bets for the guys at work and then it was off to McDonald's for a mini lunch. Just to hold us over until dinner a cheeseburger, McChicken and fries.

Next up was the Pinball Hall of Fame. I went in and played games and Dee stayed in the car and read her book. I played here for about 90 minutes. Next stop, downtown.

Today's move is the final move of the trip and takes us downtown to the Golden Nugget. We booked this on Dee's mail offer of 3 nights, $60 free play and 2 free show tickets. We were given room 324 in the Gold Tower Tower. This is a handicap room with 2 double beds, a nightstand, work desk, dresser, and TV with a view of pipes, roof tops and the Four Queens.

The bathroom is basic with your standard issue toilet with bars, roll in shower and vanity outside the bathroom.

We got ourselves set up in the room and then went down to the casino to get in some action. The video poker here is pretty limited and there's not really anything that good to play. The mailers are decent for limited play and the rooms are about the best there is downtown making this a good place to stay and to not have to run tons of action through the machines. It will also allow us to play at other places where they've got better games and we've got better offers.

We started off with 100 play. The pay table was horrific at 6/5 but I got lucky and got dealt quad sevens. We cashed out and went to dinner up $100. During the play a game came up on the screen to spin a fake wheel to win a prize. We won $3, the lowest prize on the wheel. Two hands of interest were holding a single aces and drawing the ultra dreaded A2345 straight flush and holding JQK suited and landing the dreaded king high straight flush.

For dinner we met up with Yahtzee Mike and Camela who also moved downtown today. We went to Magnolia's Veranda at the Four Queens. I had gumbo with a side of rice and Dee had same. Oddly it was her first time ever getting it. She liked it. The food here was typical Magnolia's and did the trick. Mike charged the meal to his room using some food credits he got with his stay. Thanks for dinner Mike!

We came back to the Golden Nugget after dinner and played a little bit more on Dee's card. Things this time around were not good for Dee as she lost $300. I was a little luckier with a good number of dealt winners and dealt trip aces a few times landing the quad any where from 3-7 times. I got out with another $100 win.

We finished the night with Dee running her $63 free play through a Quick Hit Slot. We hit the 5 quick hit jackpot for $25 and $15 but no bonus rounds and not much else. We turned the $63 into $67 in cash.

We came to the room after this and called it a day with some TV then sleep.
