Day 22
Tuesday July 11, 2017
When we got up today we went to the Fremont Buffet and met up with Yahtzee Mike and Camela. It's still one of Dee's favorite buffets even though it pretty much sucks.

From the Fremont we all came back over to the Golden Nugget and gave Mike and Camela our extra water and snacks that we've accumulated over the trip.

Next it was over to the Four Queens and time to play on Dee's card. To save time we chose the 100 plays today. Nothing too major happening here but we both hit royal flushes. I also got dealt a few full houses but Dee struggled to stay alive. When we had our action in Dee was down about $150 and I was up $50 so only down $200 on the action. While we were playing Mike and Camela came down and we said our good byes. They are still in town tonight but they are moving to Silverton so we won't see them any more.

Next we moved to quarter jacks and Dee ran her free play through. She was hovering quite nicely and thanks to some full houses and straights turned her $300 into $290.

Doing a quick cash count after this small win at the Four Queens we were down about $40 for the trip. I'm not to happy about this and with the amount we were up plus the amount of free play and cash back we had it's not a great result. Then I realized Dee has cash back here to collect. Off to the players club we went and collected $89 in cash back. With the new total having us up $50. Not the best result but a win is a win!

We went to Magnolia's for a light lunch and I got one more bowl of gumbo and Dee had a small house salad.

We came back to the Golden Nugget after lunch and grabbed the car keys to head out. On the way out we stopped at the box office to get the show tickets for Clint Holmes we reserved as part of Dee's offer.

We left the Golden Nugget and went down to South Point to hang out with Jimbo and Katy one last time. They are also going home tomorrow. While we were there I wouldn't play because I wanted to keep the small gains we have and secure another victory.

For dinner we went to the deli at South Point. Me and Dee split a turkey sandwich. Jimbo charged the food to the room to be comped off by his host and we brought the food back to their suite. Thanks for the meal Jimbo!

After dinner we headed back to the Golden Nugget to the show to see Clint Holmes. These tickets were comped as part of her mail offer. Our seats were pretty good being in the front row of the back section and to the left in the handicap seating area.

I wasn't too familiar with any of his stuff other than 1 song. He's an admitted one hit wonder and joked about it. He also throws in some comedy and some new stuff he's recently released.

For free the show was fine but it's not something I would actually have paid to see. It's just not my kind of thing. As his style is too jazzy for my liking.

After the show we came up to the room and finished packing for tomorrow's trip home. We finished the night with some TV and then bed for the last time of the trip.
