Day 6

The day was started off with some video poker. We played 3/5/10 play and it was not very good. Dee got her ass handed to her with very few dealt winners and quads. I was streaky ranging from hitting nothing to hitting hands with multiple bonus quads. Dealt winners were not happening and I was only dealt 1 each of straight, flush and full house. I also hit aces and various other quads and still dropped $100. Dee Pulled back to triple play and still had no luck. Between us we were down $400 in less than an hour.

We came back to the room for a quick snack of left over pizza from the other night then we headed out of The Aquarius and up the hill to Harrah's. A few reasons for going there today. First Dee has an appointment to get her hair done at the Salon. The second is to play!

When we first got there we played bonus deuces on the 50 plays. Dee got slaughtered with nothing dealt at all. It made my run at the Four Queens look good the other day. She didn't have enough for full bet so dropped down to 8 hands and of course got dealt a wild royal. She ended up losing about $100 thanks to the dirty royal.

My luck wasn't great either but I got dealt quite a few trips. I didn't get much of anything else. I dropped about $150 by the time we quit.

I took Dee down to the Salon and hit the casino. I decided to play ugly ducks 10 play. It was streaky like deuces usually is. I would go through spurts of dealt winners on after another and then go just as many hands without even holding a card. I did hit quad deuces for $250 and got off the machine with a $5 win.

Next up I hit the craps table. There wasn't much happening here. Not hot, not cold. I played for about an hour and walked away with a $39 win.

Next up I stopped at a Harley Davidson slot machine. I did 40¢ bets and hit one bonus round. I got 3 spins of the wheel and won $12.50. I played a bit more and cashed out with a whopping win of 25¢.

It was about time to go get Dee so I ran back down to the salon, got her and we headed out.

While we were out we went over to Bullhead City to gas up the car. We didn't really need it but at 72¢ a gallon less than it is here in Laughlin it was worth the drive even just to top off the tank.

On the was back into the garage at The Aquarius I realized I had forgotten to cash in the tickets at Harrah's. Since I was already in the parking lot I decided to just hang on to them until we leave Monday and swing by then to cash them in.

We had to get back to the Aquarius for the December birthday/anniversary dinner party at the Vineyard. I've never been to one of these because we usually miss it by a week or so not only in December but also in June when it's Dee's birthday and our anniversary.

Dee ordered the pasta dish and I ordered the stuffed chicken. The food was ok. Dee said hers was excellent. Mine was good, not great. The party itself was decent. They did a few drawings for free play but we didn't win anything. I would do one of these again.

After the dinner we hit the machines again. I was playing 10 play and Dee was playing five play. She was hitting more than her fair share of quads and fives seemed to be the theme for her tonight. I popped aces on one of my first hands. Sadly, minutes later the aces money was gone. I switched to five play and was hovering when I landed a royal flush on line 4.

From here I did noting but bleed switching from 10 play to 5 play and finally 3 play. I didn't hit a single quad the rest of the time we played. Dee continued to do well and hit a few more quads along with some dealt flushes and straights. I ended up losing $300 (not including the royal) and Dee won $100. We didn't play as much as we would have liked but like the other night I refused to go negative on the day after hitting a royal so we quit.

We came up to the room after this and finished off the night with some TV and then bed like usual.
