Day 7
Sunday December 17, 2017
This is our last day in Laughlin. We started off having breakfast at Cafe Aquarius. Dee had a waffle with sausage and eggs. I had pancakes with eggs and corned beef hash. Nothing special here. Just standard issue food that filled the void.

Today we'd be playing on Dee's card and we started off with 3/5/10 play. It was a good session all in all. I hit aces right away on a 3 card hold. Dee hit a few quads and got dealt quad queens on five play. I slowly grew my meter with lots of small stuff and a few hands with double quads. Some of those were bonus quads. After about an hour I had the meter up by $350 from where I started. Ten minutes after my high point I was back down to even. Strangely I was dealt trip aces and landed a quad again. From there I slowly grew the meter back up. Dee was hovering for quite a while but then the bleed started. I was also starting to drop. She cashed out down $100 and I cashed out up $100 on nearly 15k in action.

We took a break for a while and came to the room. We watched TV for a while and surfed the net a bit.

It was time for Dee's workout so we headed to the gym for a while to get that in.

We returned to the room and got cleaned up and once again headed out to get something to eat.

For dinner we went to Outback. We shared the Bloomin' Onion. Dee had a burger and I had a rib eye. The food was standard issue Outback tonight and the service was actually pretty good.

After dinner it was back to the machines again. We played 9/6 jacks single line this time for halves. For me it was just an awful session. The theme was low pairs. Not just low pairs but repeated low pairs. Over and Over. That's not so bad but they just wouldn't improve. It wasn't uncommon to go 15 straight hands with no pay back. When I didn't get a low pair, I'd get a single high card. Few flushes, straight and full houses. I did hit one quad and as quick as I hit it, it was gone. I dropped $200 here in no time. Dee seemed to be doing much better as she hit some quads. She hit 2 quads within a few hands of each other. After I busted out I went over to her machine and saw she was even. This was not good considering 3 quads and numerous full houses.

Dee switched to quarters and ran her free play through. Thanks to a few full houses she turned the $125 free play into $140 cash.

We moved to a different bank and started over again. This time it started out good for me. For about 5 minutes. Then the same thing started happening again. I played halves and Dee played quarters. She was popping quads and I was struggling to get a pair. I dropped $200 again this time and only got half the action I did on the first machine.

Dee continued to hover and was up over $100 playing quarters. I switched machines one more time. I started off playing dollars and on the 3rd hand in hit quad fives. I switched back to halves after this and played for quite a while. The flush fours were filling and I hit a bunch of full houses. I went through some short spells that were similar to earlier but nothing major. I cashed out of this machine with a $100 win. Over at Dee's machine she was still up $60 so she cashed out. That combined with my $100 and her free play had us down only $100 on the day. I'll take it!

We played a few penny slots for some fun after we were done with video poker. Nothing major happening with a few bonus rounds that got gobbled up right after we hit them.

We stopped off at Duet to use Dee's free food item and 2 free drinks to get some stuff for tomorrow. Mainly a bunch of junk food like Eclairs, donuts and muffins.

The final stop was over to McDonald's for a couple of 69¢ ice cream cones. OK, maybe not ice cream, probably frozen dairy dessert with too much imitation vanilla. But at 69¢ it's one of the best deals in the building.

We came up to the room and started getting ready for the move tomorrow and called it a night.
