Day 10
Wednesday December 20, 2017
We got up this morning and packed up our things. Today we'd be moving but we're keeping the room because it got us an extra $40 free play and $20 food.

We hit the casino to get Dee's play in for the day and to use her free play. Nothing major and a pretty boring session overall. She lost about $85 on the play. We ran her free play through a single line quarter video poker game and she turned the $40 into $37 offsetting some of the losses from the regular play.

For lunch we went to Robert Irvine's Public House to use the 2 for 1 coupon that came with the mail offer. We got the Traditional Poutine and the Croque Madame. The food was rich and really good. I would return here. After the coupon the bill was $18 and we were able to use the food credits to pay that so the whole thing was comped off.

We came back up to the room and gathered up our things and got ready for the move.

We headed out of the Tropicana and south on the Strip to M. I have a reservation here made through a host that cold contacted me shortly after our summer trip. This guy has been my host for many years at various properties and every time he moves he contacts me. The odd thing is I've never met the guy and never taken him up on any offer with exception of one time years ago which I ended up canceling.

He offered to match any offer I had so of course I told him of my best offer at Rampart of $525. I also told him I don't pay for a thing there and get a suite for as many nights as I want. After not hearing back from him for a few weeks he came back with basically doubling my current offer of $100 and 2 buffets to $200 and 4 buffets and would request a suite but not guarantee one. He'd also comp any additional food based on play. Normally I would have told him to go fuck himself with a response like that but, Dee was looking forward to staying here so I accepted it.

This is why I hate hosts. This clown contacts me out of the blue, builds up the property, offers to match any other offer and then when he finds out how good I'm treated there won't match it. DICK!

We'll give him my typical action and enjoy the stay. If I walk out of there with a bill I WILL tell him to fuck off and return to being a pop in player here. I don't need the bullshit.

It was forecast to be super windy today starting at 2pm. While it was already windy down on the strip we arrived here at M right about 2pm. Windy wasn't the word. It was so windy it pushed the suitcase across the valet area and right into me. I'm thinking if I wasn't in the way it would have ended up in Henderson somewhere. Even the car wanted to roll but didn't because it was in park.

We were able to get into the room and we assigned room 15127. This is a classic suite room. It has a living room with a couch, chairs, wall unit, flat screen TV, bar area and a powder room. It's got a view of the strip. The bedroom is identical to the regular rooms here but a little bit bigger. It has a king bed with nightstands, work desk, closet, TV, chaise lounge and view of the strip. The only problem is it is so windy and there is so much dust flying around you can't see the strip right now. The curtains and window shades in both rooms are electric.

The bathroom is large but pretty close to the same as the regular rooms as well. It's got dual vanity sinks, a toilet room, soaking tub and shower stall. There's also a bunch of closet space in there as well.

We got our things set up and then went to the casino. The first thing we did was stop by the host office to see the guy that set this up. The meeting went well and we covered a few things about the trip.

Next it was time for gaming action. The first stop was the kiosk to swipe to get my 2x points on VP and 6x points on slots.

We started with 9/6 jacks for halves. It wasn't a terrible session but I was going through swings that were a bit much for jacks. Lots of those swings where I'd go 20 hands with no hits, then hit a quad, then go 20 more. Yup, one of my favorites! I actually have to thank the full house for keeping me in it for as long as I was. I didn't keep track but I know I hit way more than normal. Even with them I still dropped 2 bills.

Dee pretty much hovered the whole time. She had some swings but they were offset with a few quads and a dealt straight flush.

I switched over to NSUD for halves and go crushed in a hurry only getting $400 in action out of $100 with nothing better than a quad. Dee cashed out even so we were already down $300 on just 6k in action.

We moved to a different bank and I was struggling to hit anything. That combined with a button that didn't always work and I was getting aggravated. I lost $100 on $600 in action then I switched machines. This machine was even worse and with nothing better than one dealt straight I dropped another $100 on only $300 in action. Dee cashed out even again.

I saw they were giving some crap away and went over to the promotions area. They were giving away a pack of 3 rolls of wrapping paper, bows and ribbons. Just what I need here in Vegas.

We took a break for dinner at Burgers and Brews. Of all of the times we've been here we've never been. I got a Stout Burger which had Irish Cheddar and a stout sauce on it. The burger was tasty but nothing special. Dee pulled an odd one and ordered fish and chips at, a Burger Joint. Insert comments here!!! She did say they were very good though.

We hit the casino one more time. We chose the shorter pay 3 play progressive and 9/5 jacks. The individual progressives were at $1650, $1050 and $1060. They've added a super jackpot for a dealt royal that was at $8500. This was just as bad for me as the single lines were. I dropped $200 on less than 1k in action. Dee was doing a little better and landed a few quads but then had a bleed and dropped $100. That wasn't bad though as she got over 2k in action on it.

We decided to switch it up a bit and found a bank of machines with DW44 for 3/5 play. Dee was tired of jacks and wanted a change of pace and triple play. This session was just the opposite of what it has been. Dee got her ass handed to her and dropped 4 bills on less than 2k in action. I was doing much better hovering for most of the session hitting lots of straight flushes and quints. A few wild royals showed up. Then I'm dealt 4 to a royal hold em, draw and land shit. Absolutely nothing. I think I might have let a few eff bombs fly but that's not like me so I probably didn't (yeah right). I only dropped $100 this time around on 4k in action. This is more like it. I don't mind losing a little if I get the action in.

For a change of pace we played a couple of penny slots. This was actually working out well. On the first machine we hit a bonus round and cashed out up $20. We went to another machine and were just hovering when we hit a bonus round. We got off this machine even. The next machine we hit a bonus. This gave us 25 free spins. During these spins were hit additional free spins of 10, 7, and 7. This gave us a total of 49 spins. During the spins we hit a couple of bigger hits. By the time it was done we won over $50 and cashed right out.

Our friends Jimbo and Katy arrived at M just a short while ago so we found them and played a little more video poker with them on the triple play progressives. I dropped yet another $100 on $600 in action. Dee was doing a little better and got dealt 4 to a royal. Hoping she'd pop one on the $1600 line she hit the draw button and landed K-Q-J-10-9 on the top line. Yay, 250 coins, shit, the dreaded king high straight flush. She bled to death after that and dropped $100.

On the next machine I was going to load free play and saw I had $200 instead of the $100 I expected. I ran $20 of my free play through a penny slot that Dee liked. I turned it into $15 cash.

Next I ran the rest of the free play through quarter single line. This was probably one of the worst sessions of the day. I turned $180 free play into $112. Not a single hand better than trips. In total $200 free play became $127.

We called it a day after this so we could put the worse day of the trip behind us.

Total win/loss for the day - $1350
Total Comps for the day $508
Total Coin - In for the day $19,140
Room(s) $199
Cash/Free Play $240
Food $68
