Day 11
Thursday December 21, 2017
Today's plan was to pretty much stay here at M all day long. We'd also be spending time with our friends Jimbo & Katy who are also staying here.

We started off with a quick breakfast/lunch of pastry and coffee and Baby Cakes. Always delicious.

Next was a kiosk swipe to activate 2x/6x points and then video poker as always. We started off with the triple play progressives today. I was hitting quads like crazy but Dee was getting killed. She never busted out though and started hitting things. She got back into it and then got killed again. I was continuing to do well getting up over $100. Dee was back down to nearly nothing again and got dealt some winners to stay alive. Then she started hitting quads. I started getting killed. I decided to quit when I got down to even. Amazingly Dee got on a run and not only came all of the way back, she won $10!!

We moved to single line quarters and NSUD. Dee got on a roll right away while I struggled to hit anything. She hit a bunch of straight flushes and wild royals and quickly doubled her $100 buy in. We played for a little longer and she started losing and I was already losing so we quit with her up $50 and me down $50.

Dee wanted to play Quick Quads which I wasn't thrilled with but I let her take a shot on shorty pay 7/5 bonus. This was a disaster as she dropped 2 bills on only $400 in action. Quick Quads never happened, and neither did quick trips. It was just an awful session.

Next we took a break from VP and played a few penny slots. I only hit one bonus and that didn't pay a lot. Everything else pretty much sucked. We dropped around $40 here.

Today they were giving away more crap today in the form of Snowman Cookie Jars. I really don't understand why the casinos spend so much money buying this crap to giveaway. I know some people can't get enough of it but most of this stuff is total crap. Why not give us something we can use?

We came up to the room to take a break and drop off the crap. While we were up here we had a light snack. Normally I'd go to lunch but we're going to the buffet tonight so didn't want to fill up on anything before that.

We took our afternoon break and did Dee's daily dose of therapy in the room and the hallway. She's doing well but has a long way to go.

After the workout we hit the casino and dollar jacks. Pretty good session for me with a few quads (including aces of course). I bled between quads but they kept me alive. Dee didn't hit any quads at all but had a good number of flushes, and full houses to stay alive for a while. Ultimately she lost $200 and I was even.

To try to get some play in without getting killed we opted for some NSUD at the quarter level. I started out great with a quint and a straight flush. That would be all though. From there it was a pretty fast bleed to zero. Dee didn't even hit that much. It appeared the deuces were taking a vacation. We dropped $200 here with very little play. I wasn't amused!

For dinner tonight we went to the buffet we used my play and eat promo and charged one to the room. As far as I'm concerned this is one of the best buffets in town. While it's not as good as it once was it's still pretty good with a huge assortment of foods to choose from as well as pretty good quality and appearance. This entire week they are doing the holiday extravaganza. Don't be fooled though, it's the weekend seafood buffet with the $40 price tag. Nothing really stands out from the meal except for flat root beer and Dee said the lobster mac and cheese was amazing.

After dinner it was back to the machines and more video poker. This time around it was the 9/5 jacks progressive with Jimbo and Katy. Not much going on here except for Dee hitting an excessive amount of quads but getting crushed between them. I never saw so many quads popping up but not see the meter grow. I hit some quads but went long stretches of hitting nothing. I dropped another $200 and Dee cashed out even.

I brought Dee up to the room and she read and I went back to the casino. I wanted to shoot craps and that's what I did. The game was pretty dead with little action on it. I bought in and played for about 30 minutes. Not much happening but I caught a decent roll hitting 2 points and a few numbers. Another shooter did the same but then the table emptied out as the $5 pass line with no odds players all cashed out with their $20 wins. I didn't want to play alone so I colored up with about $300 in winnings.

Next I hit the $1 jacks. A couple of quads kept me in it and a bunch of full houses gave me a small $100 win. So this is what's it's like to win at video poker!

I was about to quit when I walked past one of my favorite penny games. I popped in a $20 and on my last spin had a hit for over 3000 coins. I played a bit more and hit another for 1500 and another for 1000. I cashed out up just over $20. It wasn't a bad way to end what had been a pretty bad day again.

I came up to the room to wind down yet another day in Las Vegas.

Total win/loss for the day - $400
Total Comps for the day $228
Total Coin - In for the day $22,925
Room(s) $135
Food $93
