Day 12
Friday December 22, 2017
Today was more of the usual with a stop at the kiosk and then some breakfast/lunch at the Vig Deli. Dee had ham, egg and cheese on a bagel and I had BBQ pork. Dee said hers was very good and they weren't stingy with the ham. My pork wasn't heated enough but was tasty.

Next up was some video poker action. We started with some play on Dee's card. We started off with dollar 9/6 jacks. Dee was hitting quads one after another. I wasn't so lucky. She was also getting her fair share of full houses and flushes too. She actually held on to most of the quads as well as opposed to what has been happening where we hit one and then lose 20 straight hands afterwards. I watched my meter slowly drop but then finally hit a quad. It wasn't enough for me though and I lost $300 but Dee won $500.

We met up with Jimbo and Katy and played the triple play progressives again. None of the royals have been hit yet and they are currently at $1165, $1150 and $1733. The dealt royal super jackpot is over $8800. Not much was happening here and we got in some play for the money. We finished up play on Dee's card and switched to mine. Dee was down to her last hand and hit a quad, of course, aces. I went the whole session with no quads until the end when I was almost broke and you guess it, I hit aces too. Not just aces but aces three times in 10 minutes. I was glad to hit the quads but do they have to be aces? We cashed out down $300 between us and now down $100 on the day.

We took a break for a little while and then returned to the casino. We played the progressives again. This time around the session was a bit strange. Dee hit 3 straight flushes and 5-6 quads (yup, aces again a few times). This was odd to hit so many premium hands in such a short time. Here's where it gets even more strange. Even with all of those great hands she still lost $200 on just 3k in action. I wasn't doing well at all and couldn't catch a quad to save my life. So back to the strange factor of no quads I was not down more than $50 for a good part of the session. Then of course the inevitable bleed started happening. I couldn't catch a thing. I was down $100 and finally hit my first quad. This was the point where Dee had busted out. Go figure, her with those great hands and she's broke and me with one quad and I'm only out $100. Then the final bleed happened and I dropped that $100 in about 4 minutes with no winners except for being dealt 2 pair one time. Between us we were down $400 on only 6k in play.

We took a break and then got in Dee's exercise.

After we got cleaned up we went back downstairs and met up with our friends Gary, Cathy, Anne, Steve, Stacy and Jimbo & Katy for dinner at the buffet. Between all of our mailer coupons and the play and eat promo we had everyone covered to eat for free! That would be 9 people eating a $40 a head buffet worth $360 and it was all comped!

We all had a good time and everyone went their own ways. Stacy, Anne and Steve came up to the room to see the suite and we all hung out for a while. We also gave away all of the crap we obtained here playing the last few days.

They all left and we went back to the casino. We found Jimbo and Katy at the progressives. We bought in and I immediately hit 3 quads. One was quad threes on 2 lines. Dee immediately got her ass kicked. I was up and down after the quads running hot then cold. Dee just cold. She busted out and bought in for another $100. More of the same for her. Then, on her last hand hit quad fours and got back into it. She came all of the way back from zero on the meter to just under $100 and cashed out. I was up just enough to offset that but we still lost another $200 between us. While we were playing Katy hit a royal on the bottom line for almost $1800. She was quite happy about that!

If you're keeping score at home we've had a total of 2 winning sessions here in the last 3 day. The rest of the time all we have done is lose.

Dee still had $50 free play to use and she chose to play some slots. This was not good and we dropped the whole $50 and got very little play for it. It was just par for the course today the way things went.

We ended the night with some TV here in the room and then went to bed around midnight.
