Day 16

Happy Boxing Day To My Canadian Readers
With me still being somewhat sick we slept in today and stayed in the room a bit longer than usual. While I was laying around I remembered I had to go move the car out of the Four Queens parking garage.

I ran over there made the move to the Golden Nugget garage and came back to the room to get ready for the day.

From there we went over to Binion's to play on Dee's card. She's got a mail offer for 3 nights, $50 food and $300 in free play. We hit the machines and started off playing 8/5 bonus for halves.

It was streaky here. Dee hit 4 quads right away. I struggled but eventually hit quad 8's then quad aces. After these I was even. We continued to pound away with both of us hitting straight flushes, Dee's the dreaded king high. The real killer for me was flush 4 draws. I only hit 7 flushes out of 72 attempts. Not too far from what it should be. The issues was having to make this draw 72 times on what was the equivalent of about 5k in action. I hit a few more quads including getting my first dealt quad of the trip (yes, it's day 16 and this is my first dealt quad). Dee got a dealt quad as well. We had hit the 10k mark and were both even which based on the straight flushes, aces and bonus quads we hit wasn't too good in my opinion.

We switched to quarters to smooth out the ride to the end of the play. I got my 2nd dealt quad of the trip and Dee also got 2 more dealt quads. We've had more dealt quads today then the previous 15 days combined. We finally hit our final points and I was even and Dee was down $10. A decent final result until you realize the premium hands we couldn't hang on to.

We had enough play in on her card and went over to the kiosks to do her mother lode spins. One spin #1 she got a two for one entree at the cafe or deli. Spin #2 got $10 off at the BBQ joint and on Spin #3 she got a free gift. Normally we don't bother with these but I saw that the level 3 gift was one of those My Pillows so we got that.

For dinner we went to Benny's Smokin' BBQ and Brews. I got my usual ribs and Dee got ½ a chicken. The meal was as good as it usually is. We paid the bill using the $10 mother lode slip and comps.

Dee ran her free play through the quarter progressive which was at over $1300. She hit quad threes early on but then bled to death from there. Just as she was getting beat up she hit another quad and she had turned the $300 free play into $310.

Next we went to the deli and got a couple of root beer floats for dessert. Pretty tasty and made with root beer from Chicago Brewing.

We came back here to the Golden Nugget and wrapped up another day.
