Day 19
Friday December 29, 2017
Today we slept in. Dee is pretty sick today and I needed some extra rest myself.

For lunch we had plans to meet up with our friend Gary. We went to the Promenade Cafe. I had the ½ Asian Salad and soup deal. Dee had a bagel with cream cheese. We had a good time and it was good to see Gary again since we didn't get much time together last week at M.

I brought Dee back to the room to rest more and I hit the casino. I met up with Jimbo in the casino and we played blackjack. It was a streaky table and I had one small pocket where I was pressing my bets each time I won. This got me ahead a little but but then the dealer got hot and wiped out everything I was up. He went 2 shuffles and broke only one time. Hard to win like that. I colored up with a $10 win and split that with the dealers.

Video poker was the game and it wasn't pretty. I was getting very little action for the money and feeding in bills. It wasn't a good afternoon. There's really not much to report other than losing over 5 bills in short order.

They were running a play and win promo on the kiosks today and I won $10 free play. This will be added to my mailer offer of $525 which I'll run off later.

For dinner we went to Shizen. Jimbo & Katy and their daughter who arrived in town yesterday joined us. Norm also came. Dee was so sick she didn't come and slept in the room. I tried the filet mignon and chicken. The meal came with Miso Soup, salad, and fried rice. The chef did the normal crap they all do on the hibachi tables. Entertaining once, amusing twice, but now, I can do without it. I thought the food was better tonight than in the past. This chef used much less oil and butter than in the past.

After dinner I went to the cafe to get Dee some soup for her dinner. She said it was very good. I would think so after not eating anything but a bagel and another bowl of soup in the past 24 hours.

I went and hit the machines again. This time around played 10 play. I was doing ok hovering for most of the session getting in quite a bit of play and then it was like someone flipped a switch and the machine went into suck mode. After hovering for over and hour I then bled to death in the next 10 minutes. The swings on 10 play can be amazing.

I took a break playing some penny slots with mixed results. Some I won, some I lost and in the end lost $25 but did play for quite a while.

I ran my $535 free play through 8/5 bonus single line for quarters. I was able to turn it into $500 cash. I only hit one quad the whole time but it was deuces so it was worth $50. If it wasn't for that it would have been worse.

I took a shot at Spin Poker next and it was similar to 10 play earlier. Lots of play and hovering at first then sucked dry in 2 minutes.

I decided to play some blackjack to see what I could do there. I was playing heads up with the dealer. At first it was up and down. Win one, lose one. This repeated for 4-5 shuffles. Another player sat in and I could do no wrong the short time he was there. I started pressing and got the bets over $100 each and was making some nice hands before the dealer pulled a 21. I started over after losing that hand but it remained good. The other player doubled up and left. Then it started to suck. I decided not to lose it all back and won $400 here at blackjack. That really helped offset the VP losses from the day.

I came back to the room after this and wrapped up the night with some TV and then sleep.
