Day 21
Sunday December 31, 2017
With today being New Year's Eve my main plan was to pretty much keep our asses parked here today. Also, from 8am until 2pm they are offering 2x points here today on video poker. Because of this the plan is to get as much of our action in before 2pm to take advantage of this.

We started off with 10 play. Right off the start I got dealt quad 8's. My first 3/5/10 play dealt quad of the trip. It's hard to believe it took 21 days for that to happen. I hovered for the most part after hitting this with a good amount of dealt winners and quads. Then out of no where Dee starts building her meter. Mostly with frequent quads and dealt winners. Every time I looked over there she had an additional $100 on the meter. I was still hovering in the +$300 range and she was into the +$500 range. The stuff she was hitting was never huge but she continued to plug along. Next thing I she was up 6, 7, 800 dollars. She started to finally go into a tailspin so she cashed out with a $700 win and I cashed out with a $200 win. This was a very nice way to start the day and an amazing amount to be up without a royal.

To preserve some of the win we switched to 3/5 play. This didn't really work for me because I dropped 2 bills faster than if I had been playing 10 play. Dee played triple play and was doing well. She landed a few quads early on and then got dealt quad fours. She had her meter growing and cashed out with a $200 win to offset my $200 loss. So fa today I'm even and she's up $900, without a royal or dealt premium hand.

For brunch we joined Jimbo, Katy and Alicia at Hawthorne Grill. Katy scored a comp last night from her host for the 3 of them but the ticket would more than cover all 5 of us. The small and pricey buffet here is really good quality and you can order a fresh cooked omelet from the kitchen.

After breakfast they headed out and I I called Yahtzee Mike. He was going to be out here this trip but some stuff came up and he couldn't make it. After the call it was back to the casino.

We hit the 10 plays again and right where Dee left off earlier she picked right back up. Quad after quad and dealt winner after dealt winner. I was hovering and was happy to be doing so ranging from +/- $150 at any given time. Her on the other hand, like before every time I looked over had another $100 more on the meter. This time around she didn't get any major dealt hands either but during the course of the session landed 8 sets of aces.

Double points was over so it was a good time to take a break. Dee cashed out with around $700 in winnings and I cashed out down around $200. The run she has been on this morning has been amazing.

We came up to the room to rest for a while with the flu symptoms still lingering a bit. After about an hour of sleep were were ready to go again.

This time we hit the casino and the 10 plays again. This time around it wasn't so pretty. Between us we dropped 6 bills and got less than 3k in action between us. I can't say as I didn't expect it.

Dee wanted to play deuces so we did what we did yesterday. She played dime triple play and I played quarter five play with the machine set to slow. She was up and down and almost out of it when she got dealt a wild royal. I didn't hit anything major but slowly crept my meter up and doubled up. I quit while Dee continued to play. She got dealt another dirty royal to get back into it again but the bleed started right away again and she ended up losing her $100. Between us we were still even though.

For dinner tonight we went to the Promenade Cafe. I had 3 course meal with Chicken Egg Rolls, prime rib and apple cobbler. Dee had the 3 course with shrimp fettuccine a salad and apple cobbler. Dee said hers was really good. Mt prime rib not so much but I wasn't expecting much from coffee shop prime rib.

We hit the casino again when we were done eating. We played penny slots this time around. Bouncing from machine to machine with a $20 bill we played 10 – 15 different games over 2 hours before busting out. Not bad for twenty bucks.

Dee was beat and wanted to come to the room and wind down even though it's New Year's Eve. We watched some of the local stuff on TV. It was close to midnight so I went out in search of a place to watch the fireworks on the Strip. I decided on the roof of the parking garage. Great spot but I wasn't the only one to think of it. It was a really cool sight to see when they show started across the strip. They were small but I could see everything from up here.

I came back to the room before they ended and see the end of them on TV. It was pretty cool and someday I'll actually be on the strip for them.

Once I was back up here Dee went to sleep and I wrote this report. I finally went to bed around 2am.

Total win/loss for the day $500
Total Comps for the day $200
Total Coin - In for the day $38,200
