Day 24

Today is the last day in town. I have to say, it's been a good time.

Similar to yesterday we were up early and I went downtown. Dee wanted to stay back here and rest today.

Today's play would take me to Four Queens where were both had identical offers to what we had at Binion's with 3 nights, $50 food and $300 free play.

When we arrived I hit the machines and played 7/5 bonus on the 50 plays to save some time and try to get more action in. It was pretty good to start with some dealt flushes and straights. I was pulling odd quads like holding AK and hitting quad aces. Then on 3 card holds wouldn't get any quads. I also got dealt an open ended straight flush and only scored one and only a few flushes and straights. The real game changer came when I got dealt aces for 20,000 coins. I continued to pound away but the machine started grinding me down. I cashed out with a $700 win.

I switched to 9/6 jacks for dollars. Things were good here with a quad and full house right away. Those went away quickly but I hit a few more quads and was getting a good amount of full houses. One stretch I got 3 in a row. I was also filling flush four quite bit which is unusual for me. I got to a point where the meter was over $900 but was swinging wildly. I decided that after only 8k I was going to quit and won another $350. The only thing that is going to happen is my mailers are going to drop to $200. I'll give up the $100 in mailers to keep this cash.

I ran my free play through quarter 9/6 jacks with few hits. I was glad I wasn't playing dollars anymore. By the time it was run through it was down to around $250.

For lunch I went to Magnolia's and had a bowl of gumbo. It was as good as always.

I took a walk up Fremont Street to see how much more of the Las Vegas Club came down and they removed quite a bit since yesterday. The next time we come to town it will be a long lost memory.

With my action complete I left the downtown area and went to meet Jimbo and Alicia at the Pinball Hall of Fame with a quick stop at the bank. This wasn't the walk of shame but a fun stop to make a deposit! We had a great time as always at the Pinball Hall of Fame and stayed there for a few hours.

I left the Pinball Hall of Fame and stopped at the Las Vegas Advisor offices to pick up the 2018 Member Rewards Book. From there it was back to Rampart.

We hit the machines here and started with 10 plays. It wasn't a good session for Dee who got blasted. I lost a bit but it wasn't a terrible session.

We moved to another bank and started playing again. It was pretty good for me getting dealt quad queens. While I was racking up the credits we met up with our friend Wayne. He just got to town today and was also staying at Rampart. We hung out together for a while and talked while we played. Dee got crushed again this session despite getting back to even a few times. I cashed out with a $400 win to save her though.

She even tried her luck at dime deuces with no luck. It just wasn't her night.

For dinner we went to Promenade Cafe. Dee had chicken fingers and I had a steak and cheese quesadilla. The food was pretty good and did the trick as our final comped meal of the trip.

We got another session of play in. It was 5 play this time and Dee got crushed again with little play. I dropped a few bucks but not as bad as her.

We moved one more time to Spin Poker. Dee dropped a bill before I even got my cash in and she decided to just quit. I should have quit too. I couldn't get anything dealt and drawing to high cards was not working. I dropped $300 here.

We finished the gaming action for the trip up with Dee running her $262 free play through 50¢ 8/5 bonus turning it into $250.

We wrapped up early so we could come up to the room and get ourselves packed up. I hate to have to do it but we can't stay out here forever.

We will be watching the weather back east as they are getting some snow storms.
