Day 3
Thursday June 21, 2018
We were up early this morning and hit the pool. My host set us up with a cabana for 4 hours each morning of our stay from 7am – 11am. The cabanas here are nothing fancy but they have a ceiling fan, TV and fridge. Water and ice are provided. We spent the morning here and enjoyed the perk.

For breakfast we split a breakfast burrito at the River Edge food stand at the pool. Not the greatest of quality but filled the belly.

While we were there the property had a power failure so they made everyone leave the pool area. The casino was dark and nothing was working. We waited in the lobby for about an hour before the power came back on. Something I never thought I'd see was a dark casino.

We came back to the room and get cleaned up and to start our day and took it easy for a while.

We hit the machines and some 10 play to start off with. It was a pretty good session with no need to reload funds. We both got a handful of dealt winners like flushes and full houses as well as hitting a fair amount of quads. Non quad aces but some bonus quads we coming. Then on a 2 card hold I hit a royal flush on line 5 to go way ahead. We played a bit longer and Dee cashed out even and I was up $700 and we were officially ahead for the trip.

Next up we played a handful of penny slots with no luck at all and very little play on any of them. Only one machine even gave us a bonus round. It was a pretty good bonus for a 25¢ bet racking up over 2000 credits.

For dinner we had a reservation for the Vineyard. We were going to go here yesterday for our anniversary but they were closed so we chose tonight instead. They've also got a new menu since last time we we were here. We ordered a fried zucchini appetizer to share. I ordered chicken Marsala with minestrone and Dee ordered a pasta dish with shrimp, scallops, and clams and a house salad. The appetizer wasn't very good. The zucchini was too large and didn't cook well. The rest of the meal was excellent. For dessert I got spumoni and Dee had a chocolate raspberry cake. Both were great.

After dinner it was back to the machines again. We played single line 9/6 jacks. Dee played for quarters and I played halves. I hit a good amount of full houses to stay alive and come out ahead by $100. If it weren't for a terrible run of flush 4 and filling very few of them it would have been even better. Dee was hovering for most of the time but eventually busted out $100 but got a good amount of play.

We had enough action in for the day so gave up on the day and protected the gains.

We finished up the night up in the room with some TV and then it was time for sleep.
