Day 6
Sunday June 24, 2018
This is our last day here at the Aquarius and we started it off the same way we started all of the others at the pool in our cabana.

We left the pool and came up to the room to get cleaned up and hit the buffet for our VIP brunch again. The buffet is a little better here on Sunday than it is the other day but not by much.

After we ate we hit the casino for some video poker action again. We started with 10 play and both quickly got beat out of 2 bills each. We bought in again and switched to 5 play. It started getting better from here particularly when Dee held a lone jack and popped a royal flush on line #3.

I was holding my own although it was streaky nailing a set of aces and some bonus quads. I clawed my way back to even but then dropped down again. Dee cashed out her royal ticket and bought in again. She dropped a few bills quickly and switched to triple play just to slow the bleeding. Even though she had hit a royal we weren't ahead by much.

She continued to pound away but was getting beaten up. I continued to play and was swinging up and down by $100-$150 at a time. Dee finally busted out. I was going to stop if I got up to the next $100 or down to the next $100. One the very next hand I landed my own royal flush on the bottom line and what was a so-so session turned into a pretty nice one.

I cashed out and we came up to the room to take a short break. The short break ended up being a long break when we both fell asleep for 3 hours. Oops!

We finally returned to the casino and tried some single line jacks for halves. I was not doing well and of course hit quad aces. Dee was doing worse. We both lost here with her losing $200 and me losing $100 on only 1k in action each.

We moved to a different part of the casino and played some more 10 play. Initially Dee was getting beat on but it smoothed out and she started doing better. I did well from the start. No major hits but lots of small stuff and a fair amount of quads to keep the meter growing. Dee was hitting all sorts of good stuff including aces 4 different times and 2 straight flushes including the dreaded king high (but she held the 9 so not so bad). I was doing well on my machine hitting aces a few times as well as multiple quads on many draws. I was up over $500 and Dee was up over $300. Things started getting tougher for me and my meter started dropping. Dee on the other hand continued to get more quads and dealt winners. Soon our meters were flipped and she was up over $500 and I was up only $300. We had enough action in for the day so decided it would be a good time to cash out and take the $800 win between us.

We hadn't eaten since brunch so went to Cafe Aquarius for dinner. Dee got a club sandwich and a vanilla milkshake. I had the saimen soup (formerly known as Sign of the Zodiac). All was good and filled back up we were on our way.

It had been a pretty decent day and we had enough action in. The only thing left to do was to cash in my points for some free play. I had almost 400,000 points in my account so cashed in for $500 in free play. This will leave some points available for next time.

I ran the free play through 9/6 jacks for quarters and turned it into $470 cash. Things started out well with an early quad but then died. I started going 10+ hands with no pay offs, hit a pair of jacks then go 10 more.

We took a quick shot at some penny slots and got very little play on $20 so just gave up.

We came up to the room afterwards and packed up some of our things to get ready for tomorrow's move.
