Day 7
Monday June 25, 2018
We had to get up early today to finish packing up and to get back to Las Vegas by 9:30am. The reason we need to get back so early is because the cousins arrive today and we'll be picking them up at the airport.

We got everything together and headed out of the Aquarius and took the 90 mile trek back to Las Vegas. The ride was smooth except for the construction all of the way to Searchlight.

We arrived at McCarran and head in to meet up with the cousins. We found them in baggage claim. They had their bags and we were on our way.

Since they had a long flight we stopped for a quick lunch at Jack in the Box. Nothing says welcome to Vegas like some cheap fast food! You just gotta love those mystery meat tacos!

After filling up on crap off the value menu we were on our way to Summerlin and the JW Marriott at Rampart. We'd be staying here for the next 6 nights. I booked this through my host back in December when we were here and he reserved the 2 bedroom suite for us because we needed the extra room. We also both have mail offers with free play. Mine is $525 and Dee's is $300 but our host is going to match her offer to mine. He's also going to give me a little bit extra. I have $20 in food with my offer and Dee had $30 in food with hers as well as an additional $60 for her birthday. We don't really need these because our host takes care of the food but it's nice to have them just in case.

When we arrived the room was not ready. I pre checked in and we went for a drive. We didn't have much in mind of where to go so we ended up going to Red Rock Canyon. This was a great way to pass a few hours until the room was ready.

When we got back to Rampart the room was ready. We were assigned room 3130 in the Spa Tower. When we entered the room it was just massive. This is easily the largest hotel room I've ever stayed in.

When you enter you can go left or right. To the right is the master bedroom. It's larger than the whole suite we just came from in Laughlin. It's got a ling bed, nightstands, work desk, dresser, TV cabinet with flat screen TV, small sitting area with 2 armchairs. It has a view of the valet area, golf course and Suncoast off in the distance. There is a walk in closet that is almost the size of a room at the Four Queens or Fremont.

The bathroom is huge and split up. To the right is the toilet room with Bidet. To the left is a make up room with vanity. Farther down is the “his” vanity the whirlpool tub and shower stall.

The second bedroom is smaller than the master but still quite large with another king bed and nightstands, TV cabinet/dresser combo with flat screen and a work desk. There is a smaller closet just outside of the room. The bathroom is different as well. When you enter, to the right is a room with the vanity .To the left is the toilet room and farther in to the left is the shower. To the right is the whirlpool tub.

Between the 2 bedrooms is a huge living/dining room. There is a large dining room table, 2 couches, numerous chairs, large screen TV, chaise lounge and some smaller tables. There is also a wet bar area with a coffee maker, fridge and sink.

This room also has a wrap around balcony that goes from one bedroom all of the way to the other. There are 2 sets of doors to go in and out of in the living room.

We all took some time to check out this place and got our things settled in for the next 6 days.

Now it's time to play. We hit the casino and started off with some 10 play video poker. For the next 3 days we'll be playing on Dee's card. Dee was getting beat up pretty badly but I was going strong. I hit lots of quads, dealt winners and hit aces three times. We stopped for dinner and Dee was down $500 but I was up $500 so we were even after just 7k in action (which means Dee lost $500 on 3.5k).

Dee now qualified for a spin on a fake wheel on the kiosk. She took her spin and won a lame $10 food coupon. Not exactly something that is ll the useful.

For dinner we met up with the cousins and went to the Promenade Cafe. We both had the 3 course $9.99 meal deal. I had prime rib and Dee had trout. The food here is basic but does the trick. It also came with an appetizer (we both had cream of mushroom soup) and Dessert. Dee had cherry pie and I had the chocolate chip brownie.

After dinner we were back at the machines pounding away on VP. We tried 10 play again. Once again Dee was getting pounded and I was doing well hitting some dealt winners and another set of aces. Hen things turned. Dee was doing well getting lots of dealt winners and bonus quads and I couldn't hit much of anything. By the time I was finished I was down $400 and Dee was down only $100 for a $500 loss this time around.

We stopped by the players club to see about Dee's free play (our host is off today) only to find out he didn't set anything up. I was not happy about this and even e-mailed him a few day ago to make sure everything would be nice.

We came up to the room after that and wrapped up a busy day of travel and action.
