Day 12
Saturday June 30, 2018
This is our final day at Rampart and we started it out the usual way with our normal in room breakfast followed by pool time.

Once we were baked to an internal temperature of 165° we came back to the room and got ready for the day.

Today the plan was to go to M and collect my June allotment of free play. My offers here are fairly weak for the action I've given them but I wanted to get something out of them. We played 9/6 jacks for quarters and neither one of us hit any quads. Dee dropped $100 and I dropped $50 on only $1600 in action. In looking around at the machines in this place today they seem to have downgraded a lot of their video poker. It was sad to see 98% games being downgraded to 97% and less. Between this and the weak offers we get this place is on thin ice with us especially considering how we are treated at Rampart.

For lunch we went to the buffet to use my monthly 2 free buffets. Today was seafood and they have a new improved price of $42 per person. Doesn't matter to me though when it's free. They seem to have changed up some of the offerings since the last time we were here and there were some good and different items instead of the same old same old.

When we were I opted to play 9/6 jacks and turned the $100 free play into $100 cash.

From M we came over to the Rampart and took a break in the room for a while.

For dinner we went to the Clubhouse Deli and the four of us would eat it in the room. I wasn't too hungry since we had the M buffet for lunch so just got a matzo ball soup. Dee had a small chili and said it was excellent. While the food was good the service in this place was horrible. It was quite busy and they were very understaffed for the amount of people in there.

Afterwards to the casino we went for more video poker action. This time we played 10 play. It started out well with Dee landing a quad on her first hand followed by aces twice in just a few minutes. I couldn't get crap other than low pairs and single high cards. It's tough to get ahead when this happens. We both started losing from here until I hit some aces of my own. They didn't go far though and I continued to lose. Dee was doing better than me but not by much. I busted out of 5 bills after only 5k in action. These 10% losses are starting to get old. Dee continued to play on and got down to her last hand and popped a bonus quad. She got quite a bit more play out of what was left on the meter before the slow drain. She got down to her last hand and didn't have enough to play another hand. I cashed out the $6.25 on my machine and fed it into hers for one last shot. She got dealt a straight to get back into it. Then she hit a quad and a few hands alter got dealt trip aces and hit the quad on 2 lines. This saved us from a total ass kicking and was cashed out down “only” $600 between us.

I checked the kiosk and I had earned a spin on the fake wheel again. I won $10 in food. It's good for 30 days so I'll hang on to it and use in in a few weeks when we return here in July.

We took a short break from action to go see our host and inquire about getting the room charges comped. He said he took care of everything up through last night. We had a little bit more today that he said he's take care of. We have had quite a bit of food and drinks comped at this point between the 4 of us and our additional guests so I was impressed this was all covered. I asked if there was enough left for breakfast and he coughed up a $50 ticket for the cafe tomorrow. I have to say, we're treated really well here. I guess losing a few grand helped.

We played one more session of 3/5 play and even though we both hit a few quads dropped $400 on a little less than 4k in action in another 10% loss.

I ran today's free play through and turned the $250 in free play into $200 in cash.

It was a good way to end the day and we finished off the evening in the room packing up and watching TV before we went to bed.
