Day 25
Friday July 13, 2018
When we got up this morning we packed up our things and got ready to leave The Cromwell. I checked my account on the TV and saw a $19 charge for Eat Well. This made no sense because we had a $50 food credit and that was almost exactly what we charged to the room. I stopped by the front desk to find out what the issue was only to find out they charged me for two Coronas from the mini bar. Uh, no, not happening. We didn't take anything from the mini bar. No issue, it was removed and my final balance was $1.96. I left it on the credit card just so Caesars would have to pay the credit card processing fee on it!

We left the Cromwell and went over to Westgate. I needed to get some sports bets for guys at work. I'd been shopping the lines all week and as always Westgate was the winner with the best odds.

We left Westgate and Dee was hungry and wanted Jack in the Box. On the way I saw Arby's and we opted for pressed and formed “meat” with gooey “cheese” sauce. Such crap but so good.

It was still early so instead of going to the hotel I made a stop a K Mart to get some new sneakers. The store actually is closing but the liquidation appears to have just started as the store was totally full and still organized. I found what I needed and we were off.

Today's move has us returning to the J.W. Marriott at Rampart. This is also the final move of the trip and we'll be here for the next 5 ½ days. We've both got mail offers here for this stay as well. Mine is for $525 and my host is throwing in a little extra. Dee's is for $300 but this is being matched to my offer because our play is identical and it makes no sense that her offer is that much lower.

When we arrived checking in was fast like it usually is here. The room was ready too. I think this is the first time ever the room was ready when we arrived.

We were given room 6210 which is a 1 bedroom suite in the Palms Tower.

Once we we settled into the room it was time to leave again. For dinner tonight we went to meet our friend Lolly and family at Nora's down on Flamingo. I've heard really good things about this place so was looking forward to trying it out. I had the chicken Parmesan and Dee had the linguine and clams. I thought the food was pretty good. Dee said hers, especially the sauce was outstanding. I'm glad we finally got to try the place. Lolly covered the bill and we were on our way. Thanks Lolly!

Once we were fed it was back to Rampart. We stopped by the host office to see our host only to find out he's on vacation. Ugh, not good because I know everything we had worked out won't be set up properly.

Sure enough my free play from my offer and the extra wasn't on my account.

We started playing 5 play. I started out great with a few quads and quickly got up $150. Dee was just the opposite and started out slow. Then things switched. Dee hit aces and I was getting drained. I went from being up $150 to down $200 in no time. The biggest killer for me was the number of trips I was dealt and couldn't land a quad on any of them. This happened around 10 times and was quite annoying. Dee was around even so we were going to go get my free play worked out at the players club and she gets dealt quad fours. That actually got us ahead by a little bit.

I stopped by the players club and they got the free play loaded from my offer but there was no note in the system for the extra. The supervisor was going to e-mail him to find out and I sent him a text.

We went back to the machines and did 10 play this time. Again I started off strong with some dealt winners and got up $100 quickly. Dee was getting beat up just like earlier. She needed to reload and I was starting to drop. I was still having the issue with dealt trips and not being able to convert a single quad in another 9-10 attempts. It was even more painful now that we were on 10 play. Even more pain came from the fact I was dealt trip aces twice and a good number of twos, threes, and fours. The only quad I hit was queens and that was on a single card hold. I hit a straight flush on an open end 4 card hold and got a dealt full house. While I was sitting there admiring my hit Dee pointed to her screen. I look over expecting so see a quad and instead see her 10th royal of the trip on line #9. This just saved the day because we started getting beat up more. Even with the royal we weren't up by much.

It was getting late so I ran today's free play through 50¢ single line. I turned the $175 free play into $150 cash.

We came up to the room after this and wrapped up day 25 with the usual TV and sleep!
