Day 28
Monday July 16, 2018
When we got up today I made the trek to the pool for a little while. Dee stayed back in the room to rest and watch her shows.

I returned to get cleaned up and started our day.

We had lunch plans with our friend Norm at the buffet at 1pm. We visited and had a good time together before we went our own ways.

For us it was the casino. Today is 2x points on video poker. The rest of the trip we'd be switching our play to Dee's card. We started off with 10 play. We got a good chunk of today's play in but Dee got whacked for 5 bills and I lost $300. No major hits and Dee was struggling to hit a single quad.

We took a shot at my uncle's favorite game hoping to snag just one bonus. That ended up being a bust and we didn't even get much play out of the money. The only good thing is slots are 5x points today.

We switched to 3/5 play and this time I was the one getting killed. Couldn't catch a winner and I was going 5-6 hands in a row with no pay offs. Dee was hovering for the longest time and then she got whacked really quickly too. We both switched to DDB for a hail Mary attempt. Dee's didn't work out but I hit aces (no kicker) to cut my losses in half. We dropped another pile of cash here.

We decided to run Dee's free play through half dollar single line. She had her $100 from her offer and an extra $150 from our host. She hit quad eights and a few full houses to turn the $250 into $300.

Dee wanted to change things up and play deuces. We went in search of 10 play dimes and settled in. Dee hovered for quite a while and I was dealt a wild royal. Dee started going down hill but I continued to roll on with a few wild royals here and there. The deuces weren't appearing much and neither one of us got a hand with 3 deuces dealt. I only had a handful where I even had 2. Dee ended up going from hovering to dead in minutes. I continued to hover playing on the wild royal money and cashed out even. It wasn't a good day for us on video poker without a single win on the plus side with exception of the free play.

Next up we took a $20 bill and machine hopped penny games. We never hit anything major with the biggest win being in the 2000 coin range. We played quite a few games and after 2 ½ hours we still had over $5 left. While not a win playing slots for over 2 hours and only losing $15 was pretty good entertainment value.

We went to a late dinner at Promenade Cafe. I had chicken wings and Dee tried out the California Scramble again. Basic Promenade Cafe fare and we left full.

We came back to the room and watched TV for a while and then got some sleep.
