Day 29
Tuesday July 17, 2018
Today is our last full day in town so I hit the pool one more time. Dee stayed back and rested and watched TV.

Once roasted to medium rare I came back up here to the room to get cleaned up and get our last day under way.

Today is 50+ so Dee will be able to take advantage of some more of these promos like she did back in June.

We hit the casino and the machines again and started off with 3/5 play. Not much happened here other than losing $250 between us. I actually hit quad deuces 6 times on this machine and still dropped $50. That should tell you how tough it was.

For lunch we went to the buffet. It's 50+ day so it's always packed but if you go late enough you can usually get right in. I've said it before that this buffet sucks but for lunch it will work.

After lunch we swiped Dee's card at the kiosk and got her video poker tournament entry and a voucher for a free scratch card. She also got to spin a fake wheel and won 10,000 points which is $50.

We returned to the machines and played 10 play. I was doing well getting lots of quads and trips (which didn't convert) and also hit aces twice. Dee was getting crushed. Crushed so much she switched to dime deuces to change things up. She got a little play out of this getting ahead early on thanks to dealt straight flush but the swings of deuces had her cash out even. I was able to get out ahead by $200 thanks to hanging onto those aces.

We were going to go to the players club to activate her tournament entry and to get her scratch card but the line was a mile long. Instead we played 3/5 play. It was another tough session for me. I hit deuces 3 more times (couldn't buy a 3rd one last night playing deuces let alone hit all 4) and still dropped $150. Dee hovered for most of her session and then dropped like a rock.

We saw the line at the players club getting smaller so went and got Dee's scratch card. She got 2 matches and won $20 free play Then we stood in the other line and got her tournament time of 5:30pm.

We had about 30 minutes before the tournament so played some more 10 play. This was a pretty good time for both of us. I was getting lots of trips and hitting quads. Dee was getting lots of “stuff” as she calls it and just building her meter. I hit aces 3 times and she hit them twice but we couldn't seem to hang on to them. It was almost time for her tournament session and Dee switched to DDB for a few hands and hit a quad and cashed out up $50. I cashed out up $150.

Dee went to her tournament session and they play bonus poker Ultimate X so anyone can have a shot, not just people that hit a royal like most tournaments. About half way through the 2 minute session Dee had the lead all of the way until the last 10 seconds when some guy beat her out and took the $25 session prize.

We went back to the 10 plays after her tournament session and things were pretty good here again. I was getting lots of dealt trips and hitting quads. This would include 2 more sets of aces. Dee was also hitting a bunch of good hands and also hit 2 more sets of aces but couldn't hang on to them. Luckily she had enough other hits to cash out even. I was able to hang on to almost every thing I hit and cashed out with close to $500 in winnings.

It was getting close to time for the 50+ drawing so we activated Dee's entries and hit the machines one more time for a little more 10 play action. Dee didn't hit much of anything and dropped $300 pretty quickly. I was doing a little better snagging 2 more sets of aces but still losing over $100.

It was time for the drawings for the evening and Dee got called fourth for a $100 free play prize!

We had to wait until 7:30pm for the free play to be loaded so we took $20 and machine hopped some penny games. The first machine didn't do well. Then as we were walking by what was the bank of Harley Davidson machines yesterday were now new games (on the same machines). Last night they had signs on them saying they were going to be shut down. It is one of those Asian themed games that have become so popular. We hit 2 bonus rounds, one for $18 and another for over $30 and the $15 ticket we had was $60 now. We played a little bit more and cashed the ticket out at $50.

We had enough play in for the day and a good part of tomorrow's so Dee ran her free play through single line halves turning the $220 in free play into $190 cash.

We hadn't eaten since lunch so we stopped at the Clubhouse Deli. Dee got Chili and a cookie. I got the cafe turkey sandwich replacing the brie with cheddar and a cookie. We brought the food up here to the room and dined while watching TV.
