Day 3

I was up early today and felt pretty good. The plan this morning was to head back downtown with Mike and get my play in at Binion's. I have a mail offer with $300 in play.

I met up with Mike and we went downtown starting off with breakfast at Binion's Cafe. I had blueberry pancakes and a side of bacon. I covered the bill with my comps.

Off to the machines and I started off playing for dollars. I hit a couple of quads right away. The quads continued to come regularly but none of them were bonus quads. I was glad to be hitting quads though because I wasn't hitting anything else. By the time I had my play in I had hit 10 quads. Only one was a bonus quad. Full houses were far and few between and flush four was killing me. I finished up the session down $235 which I though was a gift considering how bad things were between quads.

Normally I would have run over to the mother lode kiosk to take my spins but since my last trip they removed this promo.

I ran my free play through quarters and turned the $300 into $275 with nothing major happening. This gave me a net win of $40 here at Binion's today.

We left Binion's and on the way back to Rampart made a quick stop at 99¢ Only for a few things.

Once back we hit the casino. Since we haven't played together for a while we bought in at the craps table. It was ok at first when I shot and hit 2 points. Nothing else was working and we ended up losing here with me dropping $250.

Next up was video poker. We sat at some 10 plays and started pounding away. Things were quite good here. I hit aces a few times but other than that just a bunch of smaller hits and a fair amount of quads. There was one point I was actually up over $600 with no dealt quads and very few straights or flushes. Things started going downhill so I cashed out with a $300 win.

I came upstairs to take a break for a while and fell asleep for a few hours.

For dinner I made reservations for Shizen here at Rampart. Joining me and Mike would be Norm, Gary & Cathy. I reserved one of their Teppenyaki tables so we could all have fun together. Cathy couldn't make it due to work so we made the best of it. To change it up I ordered the rib eye. Combined with the soup, salad, fried rice and veggies there was plenty of food cooked right in front of us.

After dinner we all said our good byes and me and Mike hit the VP machines again.

This session wasn't as good as this afternoon. I was hitting quads but not as many as I needed. Dealt winners were not coming either. I did hit aces a few more times but it wasn't enough. I dropped 5 bills here.

To change things up I switched to deuces. This was not good either. I only got dealt one quad to start and during play only hit 2 wild royals the whole time. I didn't get much play in and dropped $300 more.

To finish up the night I ran my free play through 50¢ bonus poker. Pretty boring session with no quads and I turned my $175 into $180 cash.

It was fairly early but I decided to wrap it up for the night. Mike was going to leave early in the morning so we said our good byes. We'll be back in the summer.

I came back to the room to wind down, check e-mails and went to bed.
