Day 8
Wednesday January 2, 2019

I was up early today and drove over to Suncoast to pick up Jimbo. The plan was to go downtown. I wanted to get my play in at the Four Queens to use the $200 in free play they sent with my offer.

In the name of saving time I played the 50 plays again. I also opted for the less streaky but lower paying 7/5 bonus. Jimbo played some jacks and then took a walk out to Fremont while I played. Nothing major happened here. A few bad streaks with few dealt winners was costly. The other killer was being dealt 4 to a royal and whiffing on all 50 hands but I did hit a royal flush on line #37 later on which really helped ease the pain. When I had my play in I was down $180.

I switched over to Dee's card and played the same game. This time around was a little less streaky. I also got dealt 4 to a royal again and scored just one on line #41. When her play was finished I was down $25.

Next up I ran my free play through quarter 9/6 jacks and thanks to 2 quads, one that was dealt and a bunch of full houses I turned the $200 free play into $250 cash. I ran Dee's free play through and turned her $300 into $310 with no major hits.

I made a stop over at the players club to cash in my points taking $250 worth which had built up over a few trips.

For lunch we went to Magnolia's Veranda and I had my usual bowl of Gumbo with a side of rice. I also got a grilled cheese that came with fires but didn't really need it. I got a box and took that to go.

We left the downtown area and went to the Rio so I could check in. I didn't need the room tonight but wanted to have it for tomorrow so I could just go right to it instead of waiting until late afternoon to get in. Checking in was quick and I was assigned room 1545 in the Ipanema Tower. This is a king room with nightstands, dining table, sofa, coffee table, TV cabinet, fridge and a great view of the Strip. The bathroom has a vanity outside and inside, a toilet and tub.

We left the Rio and stopped off at the Las Vegas Advisor offices so Jimbo could pick up his coupon book. Unfortunately they didn't have them yet so we left.

Next up was a stop at the Pinball Hall of Fame. We played here for a few hours and as always had a good time. This place has gotten quite busy over the years. It's good to see it doing a good business but they can't seem to keep up on maintaining the machines these days.

We left the Pinball Hall of Fame and I dropped Jimbo off at Suncoast and I came back here to Rampart. I started off playing 10 play video poker and wasn't doing well at all. Very few dealt winners and no quads at all. I switched machines and things smoothed out a bit. Then I hold Jack – Ten and out of no where I royal appears on my screen.

Jimbo came over here to play again and I continued to plug away. Things weren't that good so I stopped playing because nothing pisses me off more than hitting a royal and losing. I cashed out with a $500 win.

For something different I switched to dime airport deuces. Since it's a new offer period I ran my $175 free play through and turned it into $234 thanks to a dealt quint and a dealt wild royal.

I decided to play more deuces so bought in again and continued to play. Things were good. I never did hit deuces but dealt winners were coming and I hit plenty of dirty royals, quints and quads to grow the meter. I cashed out with another $300 in profits here. Jimbo had also done well and turned a nice profit.

I stopped off at the players club to cash in some points. I got a slip for $1000 which was this trip and last trips cash back. That was like hitting another royal.

Jimbo left to go back to Suncoast and I went to get something to eat.

My offer came with a $20 food coupon so I went to the deli. I had the Cafe Turkey sandwich that has apples, lettuce, cheese and turkey. I also had a cup of broccoli cheddar soup and a giant peanut butter cookie.

I wanted to get to bed early tonight but needed to stay up to get tomorrow's free play after midnight. I didn't want to lose back anything I had won so I played quarter single line slowly to pass the time. This was a pretty good machine with lots of flushes and full houses. Then out of nowhere I dump a junk hand and flop 4 aces. I walked away with another $100 in profit.

I still had some time so I played a variety of penny slots. I hit a few bonus rounds but nothing worth very much. I got about an hour of play but ended losing close to fifty bucks.

It was finally midnight so I activated my next allotment of free play and ran it through 8/5 bonus for halves. It wasn't very good turning it into $140 with very few hits.

It was getting late so I came up here and started getting my things packed up then went to bed.

Total win/loss for the day $2850
Total Comps for the day $1489
Total Coin - In for the day $35,445
